Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Anyone in Hawaii??
My husband and I are moving to Hawaii next month, stationed at Kaneohe Bay for 3 years and are in serious need of housing advice...Neither of us have ever been to Hawaii, so we don't know what will be close to base or what good areas will be or really anything about it to be quite honest. Any advice or tips would be wonderful :) thankssss.

Did your husband request a sponsor? His sponsor should be able to help with this type of question. Does his command have an ombudsman/family liaison/family readiness group? The other spouses would have good advice if you can get in contact.
Been too long since I lived on Oahu for my advice to be useful. We were in old, old Navy housing in the 60s. I hope they torn those down. Lots of bugs, big bugs. The old sugar cane fields are long gone. Traffic can be insane. Expensive, when we go to Big Island we have to buy our gas at Costco. But Hawaii is wonderful and laid back, I adore it. Just haven't been near the bases since I was a kid.
