For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

How to get car transported.
So I found out that the Navy won't move our vehicle. What is the best way to get my car from TN to WA? How did some of you or your loved ones do it?

Call your local car dealership and inquire what car transport service they use! You may have to ask for the fleet sales office at the dealership... not the same fleet as the navy... tehehe... they should be able to give you an idea how much it will cost to have it shipped from your area.

We had our cars shipped twice. from ga to cali. Then from cali to wa. Make sure you choose the right shipper tho especially if u need ur car by a certain date. I believe they paid for his vehicle but but not mine. He got refunded for his truck.

when my son's car needed to be warehoued for deployment I flew my daughter to spend the day with him :) and she drove his car home. at least it isnt in the rot lot in CA for 8 months. Pluse he will have to get it :)

@Keisha..My son will be going to WA and I will need to ship his truck there. So my son will be refunded the shipping cost.

Your son will have a briefing and they will go over all his paperwork regarding his move... how to get a reimbursement in costs, what they will pay for, what paperwork is needed... be sure he takes it seriously and saves every receipt and files promptly...

I may be wrong, but I think they only ship things from the old duty station to the new one - they won't pay for stuff sailors want to bring from elsewhere. He would have had to have the vehicle registered on base, and shipping would start there, I think.
When my husband transferred from Groton, CT, to San Diego, he drove his VW Rabbit the whole way instead of flying.

Hi brandon's girl and all interested: ) I just saw a suggestion posted on the N4M's Nuke site that came highly recommended for shipping a vehicle. They needed a truck shipped from CA to SC and it was practically door to door service. They picked up the truck at the house and then made arrangements to deliver it when it wouldn't interfer w his schooling. The mom said they were very friendly and dependable(however, it did arrive in SC 2 days later than originally quoted) Sorry, I don't know how to cut and paste (or whatever needs to be done to post a link) but here is the web site: www.dasautoshippers.com. Oh, does it automatically pop up? I am such a doofus: ) They did not mention shipping costs or anything to do w reimbursement so no help there. Hope this is a reliable source. (not the Navy mom! Just dasautoshippers!)

It will be a great drive. My daughter is driving from WA to MD of coursei am a basket case. Be sure to check weather if you are coming through Dakotas and Montana.
