Oh sh$t. I did it again.

Howdy all...

Is there a Dad's Group on here?

Or do we have to go undercover???   You can call me Alice.

Navy Dads have an entire website of their very own modeled after Navy For Moms. Here is the clickable link

http://www.navydads.com/

But please don't depart from us. We love/need a kick-ass attitude once in a while, especially now that Denise and I are semi retired.

There is a Navy Dad's site, but it is a whole lot more quiet and boring. What's that statistic? Men speak about  7,000 words per day vs. women speaking 20,000? Wonder how that translates to being online?

For real, yes-- I found the Navy Dad's site also and I think both sites are wonderful. It's just I haven't seen segregation like this since I visited a Mennonite Church back in the 70's! (Men on one side, women on the other).

Ha! Yes, women speak 20,000 words a day, with gusts up to 140,000.

TO: All Navy Dads on the Navy For Moms site,

Why not start a group?  That way, any Navy dad who ventures onto this site will have a place of their own. Of course, everyone is (and should be) welcomed everywhere regardless of the title of the group. Concernedad, you are the perfect candidate. :)

On the propensity of the female persuasion to be more verbose than the male members of society - lots of reason come to mind. I'll be back later with the list.

However, the one comment I see often and find irritating and annoying is "I don't post but I love to read what others have to say."  It's very unfair for the ones who are willing to put themselves on the line and speak openly from their hearts. The ones who just read are takers, in my opinion.

BQB

Perfect! That's exactly what I was hoping for... To carve out a little space here too, so we can all interact.

How about it?

Can we start "The Man Cave" Group?

You want me to start a He Man's womens Haters Club?

Why would you want another group? Wouldn't that just split the pie even further? I would think you'd want instead to merge the two sites into one.

Bunker, I don't see them as takers at all. In society you have Types A and B personalities and thank goodness for that. SOMEONE needs to be listening!

I certainly wouldn't want to put a stigma on anyone who prefers to read but keep silent. They will find their time to add what they can.

Huh?

I LOVE women! I'm just suggesting a gathering place here for all us knuckle-draggers who might stumble in here looking for a little female perspective at times. I think reciprocal (permanent) links on both sites would be wonderful as it's nice to have more interaction.

BQB is suggesting you start a group on this site for the Dads.  To do that, click on the "Groups" tab above and then click "+ Add" and go through the steps.  If you have trouble BQB or I can help.  Once you have started the group, come back here and post the URL so others can find it and so it can be posted in other groups, sucha as New Members Stop Here.

Well if you're asking me, I have enough trouble navigating this website. This place seems to be one of the toughest for me to figure. Some posts get thrown into the middle of conversations, and some at the end. And for some reason, one day my comments number on my page doubled?

Anyway, lemon, if you want to set it up, I'll be happy to monitor it, but setting up a group is far above my paygrade.

BTW, should I make it like the opposite of the group Craig has where there are tons of pics of scantily clad women? That'll attract more guys!

Well I probably screwed it up and now this entire website is gonna sink, but here it is. My contribution to this poop deck.
