My son is in Division 937 and I am already so excited to attend PIR. Has anyone made their hotel reservations yet or am I the only one so anxious she did it BEFORE receiving the official letter?
So far I've only received the "I got here call" and "the box." Reminded me of birth -- naked they came into civilian life and naked they left it for the Navy :)
What a journey we are all on together!

It is the USS Reuben James. I think they are named after retired naval ships. Found it on the RTC Map somewhere on this site, but not smart enought to remember exactly where it was at. Have read so much stuff lately that I can't keep up with where I found stuff. This is all new to me, and I am very inquisitve.
Thanks, I remember seeing a map on this site somewhere too. Like you, I am very new at this and have been all over this site but don't remember where I found what. But I'm having fun learning.
LOL that sounds like me!!!! I find all kinds of info on here and then cant remember where I saw it!! Makes me feel like a crazy woman when I go back and try to find it for someone else, because "you just have to see what else I found on the site" lol!! This is all new to me too, and I look everywhere to get as much info as I can~~trying not to look like to much of an idiot when I get there!!!!
My son has a PIR date 7/27/12 and was sworn in 5/30/12. I got a call last sat am from him. He sounded tired and said it was tough, but he didn't complain about anything. He is 21 and had gone to college and got a 2 year degree in HVAC. It was good to hear from him, but still worry about him every day.
hi ladies. i know you all are moms, but my husbands letter came today, but it was just an insurance one, with not PIR or anything and it was all suppose to come together....? idk what to do? any advice? his recruiter told me his ship and division and address last week, but alot of people say it can change so i have no idea whats going on ahhhh
thank you :) i will just have to keep saying that every day :) do you by chance know what week and day they are on?
Today, 6/18 is the beginning of week 3 since he left...he got to RTC on 6/5. So I think if you consider Processing days, (Pdays on the navydep.com link above) then I'm thinking today is Week 2 (2-1 Day). I may be over-thinking this but that's how it reads to me??? At this point, I'm reading anything and everything I can find and enjoying every minute and it helps!
OmahaRudyPIR7-27-2012 Div 937 i love that site i printed it off and its all hanging on my wall for my countdown :)
