Hi Ladies,

I had posted about something I read that another Division had done at a recent meet & greet.  All the moms wore scarves of the same color so that they would all know to look for the "scarves" to find moms who were from their sons/daughters division and were on this forum. I'm not sure that they ordered these scarves, but just bought them so they could wear them for future use.

I was thinking it might be nice if our group did something similar. If anyone is interested, any ideas on something we could wear to help us identify each other.

Everyday is getting one day closer to the big day. CANNOT wait!!!!!

I am going to wear the ribbon I ordered from  the ribbonqueen, it will have the division on it.

Thanks :-)

Me too. I can't wait!!
Hi again, when is your graduation? This group had their PIR on 5/18. There should be a group set up for you, hugs...I know at first it's a little overwhelming, sending you a message to your inbox.

The scarves were a great N4Ms identifier--and help your SR to scan the crowd in the bleachers to look for their loved ones.  You have a couple of options:

Fleece is easy, but as it warms up may be less comfortable. You can order these from Lala (aka the ribbon queen!) or make them yourselves.

Alternately, you can purchase any scarf that conforms to your N4Ms division color choice. I recommend starting a list in the  discussion board for the main PIR group, then also posting a message in each divisions' discussion thread. For ideas on how to do this, scan some of the February and March PIR groups.

Also - it helps to have each group pick a discretely different color, and add a qualifying description: Navy blue, Royal blue, Forest green, Scarlett red, burgundy red, goldenrod yellow . . . that helps people across the country pick from multiple shades.

Finally, some groups have a second "meeting place" on Facebook. If you do, post there about the N4Ms effort to coordinate scarves so more people can participate. HAVE FUN with this - I know I did! ;-)

I will wear my ribbon also. It is so nice to see the countdown clock showing less than 30 days! YEA!!!

Thanks :-)

Funny, I thought I already posted here. In 2009, Our Navy Moms all wore NavyForMoms Rubber Wristbands. They worked out great! Everyone wore them and sooo many folks at the graduation wanted to know where they could get one!

We had ordered 300 of them so we'd get a great deal. I still have some left if anyone wants one! A photo of it is still on my NavyForMom page! ~ TriziaLee

Hi TriziaLee My name is Misty and my sailor is with Ship 11 Div 156.. I read from all the PIR 5/18 sites in the event that maybe I will see or read something that would help me or our divison's moms... I don't know how many you maybe have but if you would be willing to give/sell a few to our division that would be great... Love them!

Maybe 6 or so....

I would love to have one! These are awesome. Let us know what we need to do to get one or how many you have left.  Thanks for this. Can wear it to the meet & greet and PIR.

Hi Sharpmom - They are on their way! Hugs TriziaLee
