Hello!  it was suggested that i start a discussion for this DIV to see if any other Moms out there with their daughters with mine!  She left on 5/21 from Ohio and we have received her box of things and nothing else, but I am told that no news is good news!  Hope to hear from others soon!

i;m so glad you got a call. Im happy hes doing good.  It's 7:30 pm and i still have not gotten a call. Hope i get a letter tomorrow.

Hello!  I am a newbie.  It's awesome that there is a site like this. I too have a daughter in Ship 3 DIV 218.  It's been one heck of a ride for emotions.  Got my call yesterday.  It was so wonderful to hear from her.

im soo happy you received a call yesterday from her. I still have not gotten one. I cant begain to tell you how my emotions have been. I see evryone getting letters and phone calls and all ive gotten was two letters. one last week telling me she hates it there and wants to come home. shes been sick since she got there. then the one from today. saying shes been in siq for 3 days and is now on light duty. said they might send her home to get better. when i got the form letter i emeditly got on line and got 2 airline tickets, hotel rented and car rented.($ i dont have)to go see her grad on 7/13 and know it looks like shes not going to. i just dont know what to do. sorry but i think im done with all this.

hope all your kids are very succesful in everything they do.

I too have not gotten a call yet!  been living with my phone attached to me like an appendage...lol.  We did get another couple of letters yesterday and she made mention of gettng to call on Tuesday but nothing! Sounds like a lot of the SR have been sick and that is usual, as for the tickets and such that is very unfortunate, the hotel usually doesnt charge you to change up to 24 hrs prior, but the airlines might be a problem! i really wish we could have more contact with our SR's so that stuff like that could be avoided if we had the current info!  good luck to you

sorry tori

i was very upset yesterday i shouldnt of vented like that. i just dont have any one here i can talk to . my husband said im just crazy for worring about all this. how much of a notice do they give you if the dates change?

Heidy, it is my understanding that if the recruit is removed from their division for medical or any other reason and is being transferred/placed in another (set back or seps) that the recruit gets to call home that same day. If you do not hear anything from her you can rest assured she is still with her division. Hope this helps

I still haven't received a phone call either.  And, Heidy, don't worry about venting.  I can't think of a better place to let off steam about stuff like that than here.

thank you every-one. I'm trying to keep postitive that if she doesn't call then she is still there and her grad date has not changed. She only has 4 weeks left and then is over. :-) I should receive a letter this week but because i will not be home and out of state i guess i just have to wait tell june 26th. :-(. I'll still send her letters where im at. I hope evry-one else received calls today for fathers days.

No need to be sorry! I have been crazy myself not knowing what is going on lol! I have heard the same things everyone else is saying no news is good news. My daughter told me that her first rack mate broke her ankle and had to go home, but hasn't mentioned anyone else having to move DIV or graduating later. She did say that there are some females from DIV 217 that she shares a rack with now. I am really just wondering why some got to call and not the others! Oh well. Keep up the faith we are half way done with this BC and then they can at least call more often!

Hello mike0351! I'm just trying to spread the word about a new group on here for Dads that just started. Here is the link if you are interested:

But glad you are on your PIR group!

Hey. does anyone know if our PIR was in the Captains Cup this week?

i don't think so. I think our captains cup will be sometime around July 7th. i think it is the weekend before graduation.
