Aster same here.  I couldn't wait to get home from work today to see if I received any mail from my SR.  I was so pleased.  I already made our hotel reservations.

Anne  I am waiting for my husband to come home, so we can decide if we are flying in Wednesay night or Thursday afternoon, will check the web sites for SpringHill Suites and Holiday Inn

Last year we stayed at the Navy Lodge when my youngest son graduated from boot-camp.  So, when I received his letter today I made our reservations.

Lots of moms/wives/families etc hanging out in this group. Feel free to join us if you like :-) There are some from each of the PIR groups and we would love to have you join us.   https://www.facebook.com/groups/327167160695549/

Hello everyone, my son too is ship 04 div 817!

Welcome Johunton! I'm so proud of all of these young adults for making such a wonderful decision in joining the Navy!

Thanks Aster! I am too.  What hotel are you staying at.  We booked the Comfort Inn...but am not opposed to switching.  It was just going to be my husband who was going to graduation becuase we just found out that it is in the middle of our vacation---which we had to book flights to get there also--but have now decided that we are leaving 3 behind on vacation in Florida, while we cut it short to go to the graduation.  The comfort inn was booked with just my husband in mind, so we are looking for something nicer possibly and with some ship 4 div 817 parents would be awesome!

My husband and I haven't made reservations yet, I will be doing it this weekend, along with our flights. We live in Stuart, Fl, were are you vacationing?

we are vacationing in Panama City Beach.  We've never been there.  We were disappointed that my son couldn't come with us...he got his BC date months after I had booked and low and behold his grad date ends up during that week.  Nobody said life was fair.  So excited for Graduation though!

Anne-were you able to get into the Navy Lodge?

yes, no problem.  My son will have to come and show his ID after graduation but were all set.

Hello Everyone,

This is so neat to be in this group! I feel so proud our our son as all of you do. I just made reservations at the Residence Inn in Mettewa. I have not seen any posts about this area, but is the same distance to the base as the other towns I have been reading about. I cannot wait!
