We got our letter yesterday.  Yeah, they can't wait to really work out again.  We'll see our boys soon! Only 20 more days!

Our son is on ship 04 div 815 - I just found this group. My son set up the sight for me before he left and I am just now figuring it out. We have also made reservations for the Marriott and they suggested we take the shuttle to the base. Did they suggest that to others too? I enjoy reading your posts, we heard from our son on June 6 and have only one letter from him. He sounded good but busy, he said the guys he was with were good guys. I hope to meet some of you in July if all goes well. Thanks for the information.

Welcome M Dunne Navy, interesting name. We took the shuttle and what was nice about it is that it takes you right in, no waiting in lines to get your pass checked. Although I have heard the line moves quickly.

Welcome M Dunne Navy. Glad you are on here. We are at the Ramada.  Hope to see you at the "Meet and Greet" along with vicbo. We also got a call on the 6th and received 3 letters so far. Less than 3 weeks to go!!!

19 days left!!!!!! theyve been gone 5 weeks!
Welcome M Dunne Navy, we are staying at the Ramada & taking their shuttle over & back. If you are in Chicago on the night of the 5th some of us are doing the meet & greet at the Ramada, would love to meet & visit there.

We should be in sometime on the 5th. I can't wait to meet you guys. We are staying at the Ramada as well. Its almost time!!!

We are so excited to see our SR!  We are staying at the Quality Inn, but want to meet up with as many families as possible...I sounds like Ramada meet and greet may be the way to go?  We are renting a car, but would it be best to take the shuttle to the base?  I am worried about the short hour after PIR to catch the shuttle back to the hotel?  Any ideas?

Hi Pat.  We too are renting a car.  We aren't sure if we are taking the shuttle or driving onto the base.  We seem to be leaning toward driving tho for the flexability factor.  See you in 17 days!

Pat, that is a drawback from taking the shuttle. It waits until it is full before leaving. The 800 Div families are done visiting long before other Divisions.

good to know. thx
