We have a division!!! Yay, I am super excited to get to know you all that have our SR's in the same division!

Please introduce yourselves! (no last names :)

I am Sharon. My daughter Erin is 21 and she came to bootcamp from Iowa. I live by myself, work as a dog groomer and I have a broken toe. I miss Erin so much but things are looking up! Got her form letter today. Got an 'I love you :) " on the back! I am so glad to know that Erin isn't alone. She is digging deep and working hard every day, and has your loved ones to help each other, learn from each other, and they are together in missing us like crazy too. And being a veteran, I know, their days are getting better each day too.

Next up.. our phone calls!! Next week? If not for sure the week after!. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Please friend me if ya want!

SO EXCITED for PIR! It will be here in no time! Hope everyones SR are doing well - they have there 2nd fitness test during week 4 right?!

I got a letter from Erin yesterday. She sounded good, but is a little worried about Hell Week next week. They have weapons inspection, marching, uniform/rack inspections, as well as their second academic test and physical test. That is a lot for one week. Is there another physical test after this? At some point, if they don't pass, they call home to say they've been put on hold until they do pass. I'm not planning to attend PIR, but it is still nerve racking to not know if/when it will happen. July. 13th is not guaranteed for anyone.

I prefer to think positively and doesn't matter when PIR whether its scheduled or pushed back still so PROUD!

Of course! I have no doubt that they will succeed. It is just the timeline that is left to be determined.

yes, they have their 3rd and final PT test in the last week. They must pass the final PT in order to do Battlestations21 with their division. I am sorry to hear you aren't going to PIR. I was honestly hoping you were. I would love to see you some time...

Any one on here have a son named Tyler from Pittsburgh?  It's one of the guys my son has made good friends with and just wondering if his mom is on here...

WOW.. I hit the jackpot on mail today!! Came home from a rough day at work to find a big manila envelope from Erin with every letter I have written her from 5/16 to 6/13. She wrote on them as she got them.  Full of comments and answers and funny things. I laughed, I cried, it was the best thing ever! HOOYAH Erin, I am SO proud of you.

Isn't that the truth! And YES on the re-reading over and over.. I am thinking about page protectors and a binder! She does sound good! I'll be working all weekend :(  My days off are Mon-Tues) You have a great weekend!

That is saw awesome. Of course boys wouldn't think of doing something so sweet like that!! Kyle sounded great too, so proud of how far he has come when I read the "mandatory" letter. He wrote on Sunday June 17 that rumor was going around that they might be able to start writing on Tuesday and Thursdays because one of sailors wrote a letter to congress saying they are not receiving enough time to attend church, hygiene, and write on Sundays and everything has to be completed by 1300. That would be amazing! But he didn't know how true that was :-/ anyone getting extra letters :) 3 weeks to goooooo :)

I got mail 3 times this week, Mon, Thurs and today :)  Lovin it!

Take a look at the article at http://www.navy.mil/submit/display.asp?story_id=67986. I learned a lot about Battlestations. It sounds intense!

Hello, my name is Keri. My daughter got put in this division today. She was suppose to graduate this Friday but failed her run and her final test and passed a note to a guy so they put her back 2 weeks. We are so sad that we have to wait two more weeks to see her.
