While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi Sassy. Thanks for your comments. I know what you are saying. Flag Day meant so much more to me this year and when a friend on Facebook had a discussion on flag burning, well, my blood pressure shot up after reading some of the comments.
My son is in specops (816) and his physical training is very important for making it in SWCC. I will let him know your advice about how to land his feet. While running. Thanks for the tip! -

My son too is going into SWCC-I think the phone call if two weeks from when I got mine is on Friday-can someone re-send me the link for the Divisional t-shirts? I lost track of it.

Great explanation, Selaine6. Yes, I am planning on holding another phone watch on Friday (6-21). My call on the 7th came around 5:30, too. I wonder if any of our experienced friends here know of a "rule of thumb" about when calling starts. I cancelled a haircut and highlights so I wouldn't miss the last call.
Thanks so much for your supportive and encouraging words, AurorA. You are right. I need to lighten it up for him and boost his spirits. I will get some funny cards to send and dig out some old silly pictures and copy them.
Well, I am going to try to get back to sleep. It is close to 3:30 a.m.. Gee, our kids will be soon starting their day:-(. Wish they could get more sleep! -

I right clicked the photo,
then left clicked "Save picture as..."
then saved it to my desktop,
then I opened the photo from my desktop and was able to use the scroll on my mouse to zoom.
Hope that helps.

I desperately wanted to find my SR in the photo of 816. I hope they post more soon. My son's last letter to me was dated 6/13. He too was ecstatic about the 2 week liberty to get to BUDS. He said the 11th-13th were GREAT days. He's enjoying DiveMo in the pool and on the track. He mentioned crawling along the track and being green from the grass plus guys with bloody knees from crawling along the rough patches. He seemed to think that was pretty great too. He said they were designing their division flag. Have you all purchased your division tees yet? I have!

I ordered my shirts this morning. I was kind of confused by the order form in that my brother wanted a gray shirt and it was not an option on the drop down list. Anyway, are we all wearing our shirts to the PIR or are they too informal?
I kept staring at the photo of 816, too. Wanted to see my son. Oh well, I know he is in there somewhere! They all look so strong and determined, don't they?

Very strong and very determined, yes! My family will not be wearing ours to PIR. Since our SR will be looking his best, we will dress accordingly. I have however, heard of them being worn during PIR. It's just a matter of preference. We might wear ours on Thursday or Saturday. :)
