My SR left June 4th.  Received his box a few days later and got the form letter yesterday.  We weren't even thinking that PIR would be July 27th, we were looking more at Aug 3 or later.  I guess he got there just in time to finish up his division.

How are you ladies holding up? I am doing better than I thought, my son was so excited to finally go, he's been in DEP since last July-so that helps. I've seen something about the Meet and Greet, sounds like Sarge is full of information. Maybe letters next Weds, I see the moms with PIR on 7/20 got letters today. Looking forward to that! Wondering how many divisions will be graduating on the 27th, hope it's not a real big group. Anyone staying at the Navy Lodge? Are you familiar with RTC facebook page, they post random pictures, I like seeing any recruits and what they are doing.

Hello.  I think we are planning to stay at the Navy Lodge.  I called and spoke to them the other day to find out what is needed to make reservations, which is just my son's name and PIR date.  We have a huge group that is going up and will probably need like 5 rooms.  I am hoping that there is small group graduating just so everyone can get in to see the ceremony.  I have read a lot on here that people have been able to get in, even without being on the list.  I sure hope that is the case with us.

I am hoping for a letter next week.  I try and following along with the Day by Day breakdown I found on Navy Dep website, but I am sure things are happening that aren't on there, or the order might be different.  I would love to know how my son is doing.  I do love going to the RTC Facebook page also, it would be nice to catch a glimpse of him.  I wish they would do a better job of showing the flags with the division on them a little clearer.  :) It's always hard to tell.

Hope everyone is having a great morning so far.

I thought my son waited a long time-- since October. He, too, was SO excited. I described him like a race horse at the starting line pawing the ground ready to break free :). I sometimes wonder if it's only me who is so excited and hopeful about what he will discover about Navy life or if he is sharing the excitement.

We're staying at the Navy Lodge. Can't beat the price!

It will be exciting to finally get a letter. What we heard at the beginning was the first two weeks were the worst. Hope that's true because it would mean we're on the uphill slope;)

We also stayed at the Navy Lodge and we were very happy with our choice. Much better than we expected for the price. And they gave us a free pass to shop at the NEX down the street and that was very convenient. I am just so excited for all of you. PIR is so AMAZING :-) I know right now it feels like time is standing still but it will be here before you know it and you will be waiting with excitement and tears in your eyes for those big doors to open :-)

our sons are in the same div and same ship.have you recieved a call?

Good morning.  No call yet, other than the I am here.  Maybe we will get lucky and hear something this weekend.

Lots of moms/wives/families etc hanging out in this group. Feel free to join us if you like :-) There are some from each of the PIR groups and we would love to have you join us.   https://www.facebook.com/groups/327167160695549/

Megan, good morning.  That is awesome.  I was just writing my son, I will ask him about Collin. I can't wait to hear from my son too.   I really hope the weeks are going faster for them.  It feels like he has been gone for months now, instead of just a few weeks.

Have a great day.
