For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

We have a division!!! Yay, I am super excited to get to know you all that have our SR's in the same division!

I am Sharon. My daughter Erin is 21 and she came to bootcamp from Iowa. I live by myself, work as a dog groomer and I have a broken toe. I miss Erin so much but things are looking up! Got her form letter today. Got an 'I love you :) " on the back! I am so glad to know that Erin isn't alone. She is digging deep and working hard every day, and has your loved ones to help each other, learn from each other, and they are together in missing us like crazy too. And being a veteran, I know, their days are getting better each day too.
Next up.. our phone calls!! Next week? If not for sure the week after!. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Please friend me if ya want!

Keri, I am so sorry for your daughters delay. What you and your daughter are going through is the rest of us's biggest fear..None of us want it to happen to anyone, but it does. My daughter is so scared she isn't going to pass her final PT and will get set back. She failed both so far. She asked me for some "momma-conquering-PT stories" to inspire her for that final test. I wrote her an amazing letter and have contemplated putting it out here for others to see. I will post it on my blog. Feel free to use any or part of it if it helps. What is your daughters name? What division did she start with? I hope you are still coming to pir, we would all love to meet you. Welcome to our group :)

Keri - I, too, am so sorry about your daughter's setback. Hopefully, this division will help her conquer the PT challenges. We all are nervous about our SRs getting to PIR so know that you have our support! Counting the days....

My daughters name is Nicoleta. She was part of 933 that won captains cup last week. I think her ankle is hurt and that's the problem with the run. Can someone tell me what day this div. is on. Trying to judge the next run and BS. Which is usually 6-2 and like 6-5 days

They only had there second fitness test last tuesday June 19th. So there final one wouldn't be for a week or so I believe.

Madeline.. I read somewhere else you posted Kyle was having problems with his knee..I can't find where that was so I will reply here.. I sure am praying you get good news today!

Hi! Yes I posted it on the Facebook page. He called on monday night saying he was moved to RCU because of stress fractures in his knee. He said he was in good spirits and that if he called Wednesday his graduation date would be pushed back a week and if he didn't call it would remain 7/13. So praying for his good health. I got a lot of support reading some of the other navy mom blogs about stress fractures and being put in RCU (recovery unit) I am very hopeful he will make a quick and full recovery. He has never wanted anything so bad in his life and after all the struggles he has gone through he deserves a chance to be successful. So please have him in your thoughts. We all know how hard this is ESP the not knowing. So hoping for no news because that's good news!!

Madeline, I'm so sorry to hear about Kyle. Atticus is pretty bummed about it too. We got a 4+ page letter from him today with lots of information about Hell Week. It was rough but at least it made the week fly by!

Yes deff a bummer to hear but no call from him today. He said that meant he was still on track to graduate so ahhhhh so nervracking!! Can't wait to get my letter tomorrow! Glad to hear hell well is over for everyone!

So glad you didn't get a call! Atticus' rackmate has shin splints but hasn't had to go to medical yet. Hopefully he will be able to hang on for a couple more weeks. PT has been hard on all of them.
