My SR left June 4th.  Received his box a few days later and got the form letter yesterday.  We weren't even thinking that PIR would be July 27th, we were looking more at Aug 3 or later.  I guess he got there just in time to finish up his division.

HI Wendy, We have a group on Facebook that is for anyone with a recruit in boot camp. There are some moms on there with a discussion going who are looking for moms in your division. We have a great mix of people who are new to boot camp, some who have just hard PIR or are about to and some who are experienced and can answer questions. Please come join us https://www.facebook.com/groups/327167160695549/ I am sure we can find other from your division for you to get to know and share stories with :-)

Lala- I am already a part of that group. But thanks for posting the link for others to see.

I thought so, I can tell you it is TOO Many Names to try to figure out lol.

So I am a little confused.  On one of the facebook groups they said that the first week isn't really counted--they call them p-days.  So does anyone know when they say they may get a call in the 3rd week--would that be our third week or their third week (more like 4 weeks to us)???

It is usually during the third week of training or the half way point that they get to finally make that "I'm still alive" call. Sometime calls can come earlier for security clearance info or maybe an earned call for doing something really good. l know it is a long time to wait and the days seem to drag but hang in there the calls will come. :-)

I am happy to have anyone in Div 230 join this discussion with Div 229.  They are Brothers after all.

I am so confused...it seems that Megan, Wendy, me an Jeff have sons in 13/229 - anyone else?

It does seem like a small number.

Did your son mention anything about how hard the drill sargents are?

I have a son in 13/229...His name is William Scott E., but we've always called him Scott.

That is cool.  2 weeks to go.  Yay

Thanks, I just saw this post and put in a request to join.
