Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

We just received our Official RTC Letter a few moments ago and can I just say that I have a grin ear to ear! What a wonderful feeling it was to open the mailbox and see my beautiful boys handwriting...SR wrote quite a long note (top to bottom) that did wonders for my heart. He sounds GOOD!!! Asking me to send envelopes, paper, stamps and refill Gillette Fusion Razor Blades...now 1st I will say that "yep, that sounds like just like him" not wanting to use his money for items :) 2nd, for real...I am not able to send those items I don't think??? Not feeling like those can fit in a standard envelope like I was told he can only receive. LOL

Hi there,
So sorry, just got back from the Arapaho Fire in Wyoming after being there for 3 weeks. It has killed me to not have any contact or letters :( We are just out of Boise, in Meridian. SR is Nuclear and will be going to SC.

I received my letter on Friday. It was like Christmas we all gathered around and opened it together. My son wrote me the first line was "MOM!!! It's crazy here HahHahhah"

Just found out my daughter is on ship 3, division 254. That is the brother division to this one? So instead of starting a new discussion maybe 254 can join this one since they will be training together.

everyone please keep coming to this page. There are moms and other members who don't "do" facebook and they will be looking for support here. Some of them are here just reading posts who are too shy to post anything their selves so they rely on what they read here to get them through this experience. If you want some great facebook groups here are the ones I have seen the most activity on. Also remember some group are closed and some are not. You should never post any private info or ship movement, Sailor travel details on any page or group no matter if it is private, closed or open. Always be safe and keep your Sailor safe.
