HELLO EVERYONE!! We received our form letter from our son today and he jotted a short note on the back page. He sounds really good and very positive. It was so nice to hear from him! :) I miss him like crazy, but I feel so much better today because I can now be in touch with him. Hope you all have or will be getting them real soon too!
Look forward to keeping in touch and getting to know all of the other moms.

Hello srmproudmom....thank you for joining us!
I will have to mention your son in my next letter to see if they have met.
So how are you getting along? We are on week 2 ....but it sure seems like its been longer than that to me! :)
I have to agree with you cincymomdp! I can't wait to hear from him! I would feel better just having some idea of how he is doing & what type of performing he is doing. :)
He did put a short note on the back of his form letter and he sounded pretty pumped up about getting started. I am just hoping that he is still pumped. :)
I was a little stressed out last night because I haven't been seeing in activity on my son's facebook wall from when I put his address on it last Thursday. I had one of his friends text me yesterday wondering if I had received his address yet.
Well his friends weren't seeing it on his wall because I posted it and if they weren't friends with me.....they couldn't see any comments from me on his wall. So needless to say.....I have lots of new friends now! :) (probably sounds confusing...but if you are a Facebooker, I think you will understand what I am trying to say) Just in case either of you have posted your sons' address for their facebook friends.
I was so flippin upset and my husband says "is it really that bad....they can write him now that they have it" and I'm like "well they could have started writing a week ago if I would have been smart enough to have known what the heck I was doing!" :( LOL Oh just a part of the the emotional portion of our journey. :)
Is everyone here on facebook? I find the PIR group on facebook so much easier to use.

I went to the facebook page and sent a request. I am waiting to be accepted into the group.
My son isn't in this group, but his best friend is...I had hoped they would be together through boot camp, but I am proud of his friend for being part of ship 2/div 941. It sounds like you would be very busy. Nice to meet you all.
Hi my name is Debbie and my son is in Ship 02 Div 941. I am not getting much info from him. I wish I knew more.
Hi Debbie! We have not found many people with SRs in div 941 so welcome! Do you use facebook? We have a active facebook group for our division that we use more often than this site.
