Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

E my son is going on to Corpsman A school after boot and hopes to become a Fleet Marine Recon Corpsman. Other than Scout Camp or Mission trips this will be the most time he has ever stepped out away from the family and what a big step it is.

my son was only away for 14 days for a mission trip other then that never been away .I am so glad i found some other moms to talk to as i am going crazy

My son is also wanting to do the Fleet Marine Recon Corpsman. It is a huge step for these young people but how proud we as parents are.

Finally my son's recruiter gave me his address as USS Marvin G Shields Div 294, he did not give me the ship # or his street name. Can someone share that with me? I have not received the form letter or a letter from my son and i would like to send his mail out today. thanks so much:)

my son got there july 18th i did get a 430am call but that is it i miss him so much

Yeah E arrived on the 18th as well we spoke with him at the airport on his cell while he still had it, the USO and then the courtesy 15 second call from Great Lakes. We rcvd his Box yesturday. He is our youngest and yes it is hard to let them grow up and move on in life. I still text him like he is down the road at a friends house but he can read them when he gets to "A" school.

KNOXVILLE, TN we went with him to MEPS for the transfer from delayed entry to "official" which was very nice getting to see him raise his hand like I did 33 years ago!
