Haven't found many folks with SRs in this same group as my son. Thought I'd try a new discussion? I know 266 is brother div. with 265. There must be a bunch of ya's out there!

HEY all you 266 female SRs out there, give a shout out to Kendra here!
Hi Kendra my daughter's fiance is on ship 9 div 266 she has received about 4 letters and got her I'm still here phone call on Thursday he wants her to write everyday so she is doing that now. They don't talk about boot camp much just mushy I miss you and about animee stuff since they are both into that. She's waiting for his mom to make the plans for Graduation since she can't rent a car and his mom is navy reserve so staying at Navy Lodge. But says she is waiting until Aug. to make the reservations. So hope for them there are still rooms available. I'm sure he isn't having any problems with BC since he was JNROTC for 4 years and on the swim team just getting up early may be a prob.
Hi wellcome are you part of the 265 265 group on FB
How's everybody doing???
Rough day here. I don't know why. I just miss my kid. He's doing great, it was nice to hear his voice, but I just miss him all the same. Gonna try to spruce up my letter to him today, they've been getting a little boring. Maybe some good ole puns or silly family pics to make him smile.
What are you all doing to keep your letters entertaining? My son loves Pink Floyd. Yesterdays letter started, "Hello, my crazy diamond"... .blah blah blah... .and at the end I wrote out the lyrics to "Shine on you Crazy Diamond". I bet he got a kick outta that one. The silly things we do, eh? Anything exciting going on in the lower 48? We're still on vaca up here in Alaska, leaving mid next week. It's been quite an experience! Take good care you all, and let's hear some chatter! We're all in this together!
ps the FB group is discussing PIR ribbons. Think we're gonna go with lala ribbon queen... anybody have any thoughts or feedback?
LOL glad to know I'm not the only crazy mom out there. My daughter and I wrote my son a letter from the cat last week with all kinds of funny sayings that my son us to say to us. I use to ask him what he was up to and he would respond "Taking over the world today, Mom", so we included that in the letter along with pictures and paw prints from the cat. Just something to make him smile. He says he misses his music, so will need to do a letter with a couple of songs in it this week.
Hmmmm, from the cat you say...
We'll be back home on Friday, maybe I'll write him a letter from the Dog, or from the house! tee hee. GREAT idea!
Tomorrow is Friday, anybody know what Training day the 266 is? Are they all on the same day, if their PIR is the same day? I'm thinking 4/1 on Friday. No?
What's everybody up to?
That's right you are in Alaska right? I have family that lives in Anchorage, Wasilla and Palmer and Chickaloon. It's my oldest brother, wife, three kids and their families. His wife is a native from the Chickaloon area and he has lived there forever. Hope you had an awesome trip!! I've been there once to visit and would love to go again. We usually meet up in Michigan where my other brother lives, as I live in Florida, so we kind of split the difference.
Anyone have SR's that are voting? I received my son's absentee ballot and was wondering how everyone else was dealing with this? Our primary is August 14th, so I just sent it to him in another envelope with info on candidates for him to complete and put a stamp on the return envelope for him. I didn't want him to not vote as this year's election is crucial for our community.
Hi all, my son is in 265. We will be traveling from PA. I can hardly wait to see him again. I am also new to this group and trying to read as much as I can. Where do you find the schedule of what they are doing?
