Yes I agree....going crazy with all the waiting. I am really hoping for a PIR date of 9/14 so I can join all the others on that date. I just love their group....everyone is so nice & they have so much info to share. I am afraid we may fall the week after. Changed my name again back to the original one I started with. (cooper137)

One of the comments on the other group said it could be up to 3 weeks before we got the form letter, depending on when the div was full.

Cooper137, I am from NH.. Did your soon swear in at Boston MEPS?

No, he swore in at Portland, ME MEPS. There was another boy from NH that left at the same time as he did though.

I was in Boston when my son swore in and I didn't see another Navy .   When did he fly out.  My son flew our the 19th

He was supposed to fly out on the18th from ME, but his flight got cancelled so he ended up flying out of Boston on the 19th. They must have arrived on the same day.

He swore in on the 18th.

I brought my son to recruiters on the 18th and they brought him to MEPS.  His dad and I drove down in the am to see him swear in...I do know he arrived on the 19th because  I didn't get the  15 sec  i'm here call and ended up on monday writing to his recruiter.  He let me know he arrived safely.  I received the "box" last tues and then the form letter last friday the 20th.   And then I spoke to him later in the day.

I believe my son's flight was about 130

Did you get the form letter yet?

His flight left about 1:50 & I did get a very short call around 9:20 that he was there & he said it would be about 3 weeks till he would be able to send out mail. Got his box on 7/24, but am going crazy waiting for the form letter. The recruiter called me with his mailing address so at least I know his ship & div #. I really hope that info doesn't change once the form letter arrives. You got your form letter the 20th or the 27th?

27 th   sorry just noticed I wrote  20th

I can't imagine you not having PIR on the 14th.  But I am new to this so don't know.   I do know mail can be off a few days  from town to town.   I hope  you get yours tomorrow.

I just went back and checked the last text he sent me which said my flight is 230 and I should arrive around  530 your time.

Are you going out to Great Lakes?

Yes, I am hoping for tomorrow also & I am definitely going to Great Lakes for Graduation. Anxious to make the plans & request my time off. It is really great to hear from someone that lives so close by. This is my first experience with all of this so I am learning as I go.

I put vacation time in for each thurs and Friday in sept.. Had to go back and remove the extras.. Cant wait to see him again his A school is in FL

I have forewarned my work that I will be taking time around mid September. Nothing will keep me away from seeing him. I think my son may also end up in FL for A school. That is what he was thinking before he left, but I suppose changes happen.

My son is going ctt
