Is there anyway to get an address other than from my son who left July 25th? I think he got to Great Lakes the 26th or 27th; he lived the last couple years with his Dad who told him if he talked to me he would be kicked out so I know NOTHING. Praying he will let me know something when he can, but would like to send letters...

Thank you so much and I have his social and a local recruiting office but not the officer name.  I will call in the morning.

Sorry about your situation, that is HORRIBLE for a father to do that to his son and the person that gave him that son!  ugh.  Anyway, my son left on the 12th and I got his address on the 13th.....lol.  Your not suppose to use it that early in case it changes but you can get it from the recruiting office and if you have problems or can't get it for some reason, is there anyone that your ex would give it to that would give it to you.  Again, horrible and if the stresses of this isn't enough, you have to deal with that.  :(

Thank you.. it has been a long road. I just called the recruiter's office and he said he would call me back with an address, so we will see. God Bless everyone out there~

MommaDukes, first off I am sorry you ex is being so mean.  You can get a hold of your SRs recruiter.  They can give you his Ship and Division numbers as well as his graduation date.  Hang in there

MommaDukes, Sorry about your situation. When a recruit gets to GL they make a safe arrival call. Very short call to say I arrived safely and I will send letters soon. Somebody had to have gotten that first call. He will send a form letter with information regarding when graduation is and a short note at the end of the letter. You have to wait for the form letter for the address. It usually comes within the first few weeks. The only thing is I don't know who he will send the letter to with his address and PIR date. Good luck to you and your son.

thank you! I called the recruiter and got ship 11/div 301  and the address. anyone else there?

PIR date undetermined. so very grateful.

I hope that you are able to get the information that you needed. I would also suggest the recruiter or even possibly the Red Cross. I wish you all the luck in the world. I hope and pray that your son contacts you. Please keep us posted.

I have been able to send letters and pictures; I saw a couple Mom"s with srs's in ship 11,  does that mean they are in the same barracks?
