Has anyone received an actual letter from their sailor yet?? I'm very anxious to hear from him. I'm also worried. He expressed sadness on his form letter home with his PIR information and I've been a wreck since. I've read that the first couple weeks are hardest for them. Is that true?? Is there a limit to the amount of letters I can send him? I heard that they get singled out if they're getting too much mail and I don't want to make anything harder for him. Thanks!!!

I do hope your letter came today.
I just noticed our son's are in the same division. We're from Missouri so it appears that Thursday's will be our day to receive mail from our son...and the mail lady has already been asked to be on the look out and that she will probably be met at our mail box on Thursday's :)
Where are you from ?
I am beginning to think my daughter wan't joking when she said wouldn't write because she didn't want to upset me. Still holdout out hope for one tomorrow though. Think I'm gonna go nuts if I don't hear from her soon. :(
I love this its so funny and true, a meeting last Wednesday and proudly had my cell phone on and it rang I picked it up and looked at it, it was my sister, everyone looked at me cause I had my cell ringer on in the meeting, I looked at all of them and said "its not Son I am good" and they all smiled and we continued the meeting lol
Congratulations...I believe that I was told that they can only turn in letters that they've written on Sunday to be mailed Monday. The day of the week that you receive letters (for the most part) will be the same every week. So yesterday was your lucky day and hopefully every Thursday you'll get mail from him. If he manages to write more than once a week a think they all get mailed out on Monday.
Our first letter was hard but it was so good to hear from him. I'm writing every day...I also heard that they can get letters every evening even though they can only mail theirs once a week.
Oh my god! I'm like SO happy for all of you and I'm also dying inside!! I'm at work til 630 central time. I NEED A LETTER!!!
Still nothing.. :( Congrats to those of you who have received one.. Now I know that they got to write this past Sunday so hopefully I will get one tomorrow or Saturday...
