I am hearing some not so great things happening on this website.

They range from cliques to RDC's trolling so they can cause problems for our SR's.

I have decided that I don't need this site like a handful of others I have heard from that have been publicly chastised on this site for posting things as mundane as their child's first name.

This is a sad thing, considering the idea behind it is a great one.  I shall just be smart and stick with the actual Navy Website, my SR's recruiter and my SR for any information I need along with the group I have joined elsewhere that appears to have more knowledge of what is happening due to the fact there are more there sharing without fear of being talked down to or slapped in the face by someone else's words.

Shame on those of you that had less than good judgement in your actions and thoughtlessness in what you placed out in open forum towards other mothers who are just trying to make it through the next day of not hearing from their SR's.

Thanks lemon...  you can just go to the Sears tower and the Jelly Belly factory just so much....

:o)

Lemon, you are right. I did ask the question on the NavyRtc facebook site. Heck, I've been on so many sites, asking questions, reading replies and reading all of the other useful information out there that I was bound to get confused about where I've been. ;-).

Sorry, just please "bear" with me everyone.

Hi,

We have an entire group devoted to information about PIR (PIR Information Reference Group) - with places to go, places to shop, places to stay, etc. etc.

Impossible to keep all those sites straight.

Excellent, I will try to find it!

:o) We'll bear with you if you'll bear with us as well and know that we are all in this together/  When your time as a BC mom ends, please stick around and help others.  In the meantime, you have information that can help others who are just starting on this journey, so please do help them.

Some groups you may wish to join, or at least check out. are:  Boot Camp Mom's, PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here.  Those groups, along with your PIR group, will have a lot of information and support for you.

(Group names within this reply are clickable links.)

Craig, my mistake. I asked the question on the NavyRTC facebook site. Still, those that commented on that site gave excellent advice or invited me to join the right PIR group.

OK, so who was it who pissed off mommabear? I know it couldn't have been me as I am always very subtle and aware of everyone's feelings around me.

I need a Like button for some of these replies....

I have enjoyed reading the comments others have posted and think a "like" button would be great. Like concerned dad I wonder who ticked her off to start all this rolling.  No big deal enjoying the postings to much to worry about it now.

Mainevacationer:  Glad it wasn't the N4Moms group re: the "places to visit after PIR" because Craig was right....that is a very common question on the PIR sites and many times, there is a discussion up at the top about that in addition to ladies interjecting comments.  Other than disclosing personal identity of SRs, we are really a pretty "open" group!  That is what makes it so much fun!

OK, Denise. We know you did it ....  in CHAT no less. LOL. Hahahaha........ Hey, where are you, girl? This discussion seems oddly strange without you ....

NOTE: this is a inside joke. Denise is another "retired" mom who spent hours posting links, answering questions .....  often in a very direct manner.
