For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Feeling a little bummed :(

I was really hoping that I would have gotten a letter from my boyfriend today. He's only been at bootcamp a couple of weeks, I just thought that maybe I would have gotten one by now. I know it will probably be soon and I gotta be patient. I just miss him so much...I just wanna hear from him so bad. About how long is the average wait for the first letter? I know I gotta toughen up cause I've got a long way to go, but obviously today is not gonna be one of the good days :/

My hubby wrote in his last letter that it would be his last. I had sent him a print out from a blog I found of pretty detailed day-by-day bootcamp schedules. He knew he was going to be really busy and he was going to be studying a lot during Holiday Routine on Sundays, shining his boots for personnell inspections, etc, etc. It really sucked, but I understood. You know that feeling, "My head understands it logically, but my heart is still sad"? Yeah, like that.

I have to tell you ladies, it gets SOOOOO much better after bootcamp. My husband has never been the "emotional" kind of guy. Any time I cried in front of him, he would just look helpless and confused. He said "I love you" occasionally but was the "You know I love you, I don't have to say it all the time" kind of guy. I get a text message from his EVERY morning now, saying something like, "I'm going to class now, love you". It starts my day on a major high note, even if it does wake me up WAY earlier than I am normally up, it's totally worth it. We talk every night, too. Have hope, there is light at the end of the tunnel!
