For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Processing day one.
They are kept busy on weekends. Saturday is not a processing day, but it can be used as a training day later on if needed. Sunday they are still kept busy, but it is the day they can write letters and catch up on laundry, study, shoe shining. Sometimes they can go to church if they choose (maybe..... need clarification on that).

saturdays and sundays will be time to pt and practice things like drill. they will be kept busy on weekends there is no rest. sundays they will have 6 hours of time in their room to shine boots, shower, write letters, go to church, study, but then its back to training after those hours

hi Nick my son is going to Pcola for A school CTR on Aug 25th, im planning to see him the next weekend after to Pcola does he have that time to see us or not I have military ID his dad is retired CPO CTR, we just wonder if he is able to see us on base or we are allowed to visit? Thank you

He will be in phase one of liberty, he must wear his uniform at all times. If he has duty, he can't leave the base. A retired ID will get you on base to visit. You won't know his schedule until he checks in and is given his duty rotation and has all his liberty policies explained to him. He certainly cannot spend the night offbase and will have a curfew.

My son will be going to SC for Nuclear School from Great Lakes in about 30 days. Is there a forum or link on what he will need to have when he arrives in SC? He will be there for approximately 18 to 24 months. Thank you.

He won't need much of anything, as all studying is done in the school building. If he needs pens or pencils, he can get them at the NEX on base. He can have his phone and laptop in the barracks, and they will let him know the policies on personal items such as personal bedding. He can't even wear his civilian clothing right away!
