Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Parking Passes: CLICK HERE, then click "Get Gate Pass" Remember Parking passes will not become available for download until 11 days prior to scheduled graduation date. If you have problem with printing the pass, access the site with Mozilla Firefox as your browser. Mozilla Firefox can be downloaded free of charge

We have extra people who are coming to PIR. They are "taking a chance" at getting in, and they know that. However, they will be in a separate car. Do they need to have someone who is on "the list" with them in their car in order to get on base? My husband and I can split up so that there is one of us in each car if needed.

No, as long as they have a correctly completed vehicle pass, they can arrive separately from you. They must have ID for each person in the vehicle, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. If they will be driving a rental car, the rental agreement and driver’s license will suffice.

If you have a military ID do you still need a vehicle Gate Pass pass to get on base

Yes, the RTC is a closed base and every vehicle must have a vehicle pass to gain access onto the RTC.
