I'm trying to decide where to book a hotel at. I would like to be where at least some of the moms are staying so I don't feel as lost. I found a good deal on airfare... Southwest flying from San Fran to Milwaukee only 277. Now just got to book car and hotel. Anyone know of a good rental place?

We're staying at the Navy Lodge. Haven't checked into rental cars yet. Haven't decided if we want to go that route or not.

Hi,

We are driving and staying at the navy lodge...Cost is $65.00 a night.. :)

Modesto, we are staying at Springhill Suites in Waukegan, shuttle to PIR, and close to Sarge's Meet and Greet.  I have a couple of other reservations at Residence Inn Waukegan that I will be cancelling.  If you are having a hard time finding a room let me know and I will see if I can switch reservation to your name.

Cindy did you speak to them about the shuttle at Springhill Suites?  I was going for the Navy Lodge, but they don't have any rooms available.  The Springhill Suites was my next option...

We are staying at Courtyard by Marriott. I have rented a car, but will probably still take the shuttle to PIR so we don't have to worry about parking. I believe we are also close to Sarge's Meet & Greet.

Coopersmom, I was told the hotel has shuttle. Do you know if this is correct? I don't want to deal with traffic friday am..option would be sarge's shuttle

Hi Elizabeth, I just called Courtyard Marriott to make sure what is provided. They told me there is a shuttle to & from the Graduation, but it is through a cab company they work with, not actually part of the hotel. You can sign up when you check in & there are 3 different times they leave the morning of PIR. The cost is $3.00 per person per way. When it is time to leave the graduation there are shuttles coming about every 8-10 min or so to bring you back to the hotel. But once you leave graduation it is up to us to get our sailor back to base. Whether it be by cab (about $15) or with your own transportation. I am renting a car, but plan on taking the shuttle to & from so I don't have to deal with traffic or parking. I will probably just bring him back in the car when it is time for him to return. The hotel said it was very close & very easy to get to the base. They were extremely helpful with my questions. Hope this helps.

Thanks. Exactly what I was hoping for I am also renting a car but for graduation itself will go with shuttle. Thanks

We are staying at the Courtyard Marriott and renting a car but using the shuttle for PIR.  We booked our flight through US Airways and at the end it gave options for renting a car. The prices doing it that way were way cheaper than if you just  call the rental place directly, so thats whet we did.  Ended up getting a decent deal on the car rental.

We are staying at the Navy Lodge too. Fortunately we don't need to deal with flights or rentals...we live an hour north of Milwaukee!

I just booked at the Navy Gateway Inn, I am loving my Dependent ID card lol $79.00 for a whole suite for my dad, my lil girl my mother-in-law and me!

Wow mrstower excellent deal.
