For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 323 & 324. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Yes...looking forward to PIR as well.
My son wrote one letter and asked me to photo copy it for everyone.
We haven't started school yet here. First day is Tuesday.

That's a really neat idea. Did you send them to him all at one time? I've wanted to do something like that but he told his girlfriend when he wrote that the thinner the envelope the less likely it will be opened. But even if it is, I'm sure they would give him his pp cards right?

I would think so--but we only sent about 10. the cards are pretty thin. Mark is going to Pensacola for A school. I told my husband we could launch out of Cedar Key, FL , which is only about 45 minutess from us and cut straight across the gulf to the panhandle! :-) He was sure to try and plan to be out of the Chicago weather before the cold weather hit. If you come visit, give a holler!

I'm curious where all our loved ones are going for A school and what they will be doing. My son, Alex, is going to A school in Pensacola for AC (air traffic control). Since he will be down there during our harsh Wisconsin winters I might just take a little vacation and go visit him :)

Okay, finally found my sons ship and division - had to call the recruiter to look it up as I still have not received a letter! I look forward to meeting you all on Oct 4th and 5th for graduation!!!
