Now that we're nearing the "letter" phase of BC, I wanted a place that we could post humorous quotes from our SR's in their letters. (Hoping there are some! lol) Humor goes a long way in cheering our lonely mama and papa hearts! So post em when you get em!

"mom if they yell at me, I just turn around and laugh out loud"

Not a direct funny from my daughter, but something funny that she's done... I heard from 3 of her friends last night that they had received letters from her! Excited that she was writing, but then they went on to tell me that none of them received the letter that was meant for them. example: one friends letter was addressed to her on the envelope, but the actual letter was addressed to my daughter's dad and step mom! lol she must really be tired!  HOPE I GET THE RIGHT LETTER THIS WEEK!!!

Had to share this one......Just got letter from SR. He went in undesignated (no rating) and was very worried. They do 3 weeks after boot and get shipped to their first command so he already has orders. They get to fill out a "dream sheet" with their preferences in different categories-type of ship, which ocean, which coast, what foreign port. Here's what he said about his orders, "It's like being in prison and then when they discover they have put an innocent person in jail, they give you everything on your Christmas list to Santa Clause"!!!............ LMAO!!.....at least he has managed to keep his sense of humor! He is going to Japan and he is on a medium sized ship.

Awesome!

Mikey's Mom, get your passport ready!!!  From what I hear he's going to love Japan!!!  I know a few people that was stationed there.

Seems my husband is ready for BS21!

LOL! That's awesome MrsT! My daughter drew a picture of her "stripes" and said, "this is what I am" then she drew another pic and said, "this is what I want to be" it was a pic of Admiral strips! Lol

Are you keeping your daughter home from school so she can talk to daddy?

No, she needs to go to school since she will be absent from Wednesday till Tuesday, but anyways she gets out of school at 1pm Great Lakes time and since the calls are in alphabetical order I know we will be already home LOL.
