My husband leaves in just 3 months for bootcamp! Anybody else have a spouse or child leaving that day? He's staying in Great Lakes for both A school and C school....we will be apart almost 6months by the time he's done and we (we have a 15month old daughter) get to see him again! :(

Hi! My name's Erin by the way. :) For the most part we are excited and looking forward to this "adventure"...but I also am a big planner and having so many unknown details is driving me nuts! Plus we live in WA state, so the thought of being so far away is hard. We definitely plan to go to PIR, though honestly even that stresses me because of the financial part and not knowing how long to book our trip for since I keep reading different answers on how long his liberty will be. Guess I will be learning some patience in the next few months! :) What is your son's rate? My husband is a GSE.
Congrats on the new granddaughter!!! How exciting! Have you got the phone cards yet? You can get them free at http://callsforrecruits.org/. That's got to be hard. My mom is having a hard time just knowing that at the end of my husband's training I'll be leaving/moving. She and I are really close so for me to leave, and take her granddaughter "away from her", is really hard for her to accept. I will be praying for you!
How are you guys dealing so far?
Hi , My son is leaving from Cleveland Ohio on Nov13th also. I am writing you to tell you that I think you are a brave and supportive young mom and you guys will be so much stronger because of this decision. I am going to show this site to my sons longterm girlfriend also. Good Luck to your family and write anytime if you just want to talk.
Aww, thanks! I feel lucky in the sense that unlike all the momma's on this site, at least I will get to join my hubby after a few (long) months.
