My husband leaves in just 3 months for bootcamp! Anybody else have a spouse or child leaving that day? He's staying in Great Lakes for both A school and C school....we will be apart almost 6months by the time he's done and we (we have a 15month old daughter) get to see him again! :(

Hi sailorVs wife my name is tammy(isabellamom) my son leaves on the 13 as well. I know this is really hard i also have all kinds of emotions going on daily. This site will help you get through question and answers but it will give you other moms and wives to lean on when you don't think you can bear the turmoil anymore. Bootcamp is the hardest they say because of the communication barrier but once in a school the can have their electronics back. You and your beautiful daughter can go to pir and see him. If you need someone to just talk to my email is tammy4javier@gmail.com.

Hi! My name's Erin by the way. :) For the most part we are excited and looking forward to this "adventure"...but I also am a big planner and having so many unknown details is driving me nuts! Plus we live in WA state, so the thought of being so far away is hard. We definitely plan to go to PIR, though honestly even that stresses me because of the financial part and not knowing how long to book our trip for since I keep reading different answers on how long his liberty will be. Guess I will be learning some patience in the next few months! :)  What is your son's rate? My husband is a GSE.

Hi Erin sorry haven't been on in a few my daughter is getting ready to have my granddaughter so it's been busy . My name is tammy and i know what you mean about planning that's what Im tring to do too but iv joined a few groups that have been suggested and that helps to be prepared. Iv already orderd envelopes and boxes from the post office and getting his stuff together for his wallet. My son is E1 i think he is wanting to be a dc. Im already far away from him he is living with grandma at the moment so he is in Illinois already he wanted to finish school there. I miss him like crazy though and him going into the navy is like having to let go all over again this time without much contact i think that's what bothers me the most.

Congrats on the new granddaughter!!! How exciting! Have you got the phone cards yet? You can get them free at http://callsforrecruits.org/. That's got to be hard. My mom is having a hard time just knowing that at the end of my husband's training I'll be leaving/moving. She and I are really close so for me to leave, and take her granddaughter "away from her", is really hard for her to accept. I will be praying for you!

Thank you she definitely will be spoiled lol. Yes i did get the cards just down loaded them a couple of days ago. I do everything from my phone so when i had to down load them from my sisters computer it was a little tricky but i got them. Now to get his wallet and put everything in it. Im going to suprise him with a new one fully loaded so as he remembers everything this mama wants letters lol. Ill be praying for your family too cause i know how that feels and we love our children but when you have grandbabies oh man it's a whole other feeling. I orderd boxes and envelopes from the post office already too have you can call them or go to www. Usps.they are free and they take up to 10 days to get them.

How are you guys dealing so far?

Hi , My son is leaving from Cleveland Ohio on Nov13th also. I am writing you to tell you that I think you are a brave and supportive young mom and you guys will be so much stronger because of this decision. I am going to show this site to my sons longterm girlfriend also. Good Luck to your family and write anytime if you just want to talk.

Aww, thanks! I feel lucky in the sense that unlike all the momma's on this site, at least I will get to join my hubby after a few (long) months.

Hi Dina my name is tammy and my son also leaves Nov 13 from Illinois he is with his grandma right now. I live in Calif. Have you been exploding the site ? I really like it. Iv been getting things together for my son so he is prepared for some of what is going to happen. My son wants to be a dc and he will be an E1. What will your son be doing?
My hubby leaves Nov 14th :)
Hi Sarah Jko welcome to the group. My name is tammy and my son leaves the Nov 13 he will be going for dc at E1 level. Iv been getting lots of information and asking questions to get him and me better prepared. They have some great groups on here.have you been exploring the site for all the information you need? I hope your hubby does great and reassure him you will have a great support system right here.
You can just call me sara. :)
I have been doing the same. Lots of questions, and lots of research. My hubby joined Dep in Feb, and it seems as though the time has flown by. He is a nuke tech, gong on as a E3.
What is a dc?? Where is he going to boot camp from.
I have been a member on the site for some time now. And it is extremely helpful, and everyone is very nice :)
Thank you for the kind words too, and support. :)))
