Welcome to the discussion group for division 949.

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

He probably is part of the drill team. My son said when the drill team is not practicing, they are cleaning up after the graduations. My son said one of the guys found a newspaper and read about the attack on the embassy in Libya.

We are from a small town about an hour southwest of Richmond, Virginia.

Hello.  I finely got a letter from my son yesterday but I have not gotten a call yet.  He says he is having fun but misses home.  He has made a good group of friends and will be playing the trumpet.  He also tells me that he is a Dental Yoeman.  I hope that is good.  He seems really excited and proud.  I am so proud of him as I know you all are of your own.

I'm glad you got to hear from him. It is wonderful to get that first news from them. I'm praying we receive that first phone call today!

Good evening Division 949 Moms! We just received a phone call from our SR! ;-D It was wonderful to here his voice! However...it made me teary eyed all over again cuz I miss him sooo much! I hope all of you also get your phone calls...soon!!

I received my call, too! We both got choked up! It was a wonderful call. It was so incredible to be able to hear my son's voice. I know he was glad to be able to hear mine and his Dad's, as well. I hope we get another call soon :)

I received a call too. It was great to hear his voice :) It was the quickest 20 minutes of my life! I hope phone calls came in for everyone ... if not today then very soon!!!!

Yahoo for all of us that got our phone call!!! It was defiantly a bit of an emotional roller coaster for my daughter and I. Really missing that girl, and counting down the days till I can give her her phone back and call her anytime. LOL

Most definitely!

Amen... to that! ;-)
Good evening Moms! We received 2 letters in the mail today! I wasnt expecting them, becausr last week we got letters on Thursday. It is so good to hear that he is adjusting and pushing forward. Still makes me teary eyed though :-( I just can not wait to talk to him in person :-) Come on Oct 19th!!

Total agreement with ChrisMum, I got a 10 page letter from my daughter yesterday, not that I could make good sense of it all but that's ok. My dad already made reservations at the navy lodge for me for graduation! Really so very excited. :)
