Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 339 & 340. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Hello db5Brandon's Mom. Pleasure to read your reply. Thanks for reaching out. I'm not out here much but when I do.....It's such a blessing to read the comments. However, to read that your son had his wisdom teeth out?! Lord Have Mercy. Not a pleasant experience. My son had that done about four years ago. And I had it done a LOT longer!!! ;-) Does anybody know why they pull them while in Boot Camp?! Is it so they don't encounter problems when their out to sea?! I don't get it. Perhaps, I'm a woos but that "can be" very uncomfortable. To say the least: The recovery is annoying-aggravating. My apologies, I'm probably not helping the situation much. What's dry socket?
How thoughtful db5BM: So kind. Offering to make the connection with my son!! I would so appreciate that. Here's one of my emails addresses. lovelight1016@yahoo.com Perhaps we could share phone numbers....???!!! Discuss. Please contact me. They are is the same Division after all!! Go PINK.
And yes, I got a letter from my son yesterday, he mentioned thst they earned a flag but nothing about calls. I think I may have read in another post that they lost that privilege....??? It appears that way since it's now 8:25 on the 21st. No call. :-( Hope to hear from you sometime soon.
Hi, I'm new here. My daughter is Ship 11 Div 340. I was finally able to speak with her last Thursday and have been getting some letters. I think it took forever for her to receive my letters. She sounds better in her last letter I received. She asked if I knew any other Moms from her division. I can't wait to see her graduate, I'm really proud she is doing this!
Thanks for the welcome, I'll have to look for a pink scarf.
Hi! Welcome renchtexas!! So happy you found us :) My son is Brandon and he is in 339.. So glad you got to talk to your daughter!! I know I was on cloud 9 :)
Good morning everyone....hope you all got letters this week. My son wrote and said to keep phone handy, that if they pass inspection Friday they will get to call either Friday or Saturday! He sounds so good in his letters this week than before, and that he and a bunch of the guys have pink eye...hope it is getting treated, anyway...keep your phones handy ladies...and have a good day...Oct 19 is getting closer!
