Hello, I'm a new CS mom and my daughter just went to Fort Lee VA. Are there any Texas mom who child went to Fort Lee for A School? Please add me to your friend list. She hasn't started school yet. she on hold and hopefully she will start next Monday. At first they told her she would be coming home on October 26th but it has changed. I'm learning not to get to excited to see her, because you never know. I'm so glad I went to the boot camp graduation, it was really AWESOME. I was in tears and couldn't breathe when I seen her.

Good morning! I am from Indiana, about 1 hr west of Indianapolis. My son graduated BC on 10/19/12. Stayed at GL for 3 wks (2 wks of which were 'on hold'). Flew to Fort Lee, VA last Sunday the 11th and is now 'on hold' for another 2 wks until classes start. That should put him starting class right after Thanksgiving...I HOPE!! He signed up for Adopt a Sailor and says he will be going to someone's home to celebrate the holiday! I am glad & sad all at the same time. I don't know how I will hold myself together on Thanksgiving knowing that he is in a strange home for the holiday. Then there is Christmas...he says he will get leave from Dec 18th to Jan 3rd and wants me to make flight arrangements!! Where do I start? I have done this for a civilian..but not for a Sailor!! I have sooo many questions!
Cami... Welcome.....Call the airlines to make his flight arrangments... but make sure to tell them he is active duty military... they may give him a discount as long as he is in uniform. hope this helps....and Ask as many ??? as you like we are all here to help each other
Tami
MWR I can help with that stands for Morale Welfare and Recreation.. the ITT not sure on...but my son said that the instructors can take him to the airport...thats how my son to the airport... he also said that if he takes all his leave that he will be "in the hole" and "owe leave time"... so he can check with his recruter to see if he can "work" some of his time off. I hope this helps.
