OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 357-358.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

If this was Facebook, I would check LIKE. We need the rainbow!!

Looking for a Mom with a son that goes by Cruz from NY.  He and my son have become close and will be going to A school in Great Lakes.  My son was talking about him in a letter and I thought it would be nice to chat with ya ;-)

My son is in 358. As soon as they gave me an address I started writing. I sent him copies of sections from facebook so he could see how everybody is supporting him here at home. I expected him to only call or write to his girlfriend, but on september 27,he divided the phone call time between her and me. He said he missed sleeping, eating and doing things he wanted on his own schedule. He said that the pictures and the letters have helped him get through because it has been tough. He is exhausted since they do a watch in the middle of the night, and have to have all their clothes ready for the next day. He also wrote a letter where he emphasized again the importance of the letters and the pictures. I keep cards also just to make him smile when I don't write a long letter. I don't believe on telling him how sad I am, but also telling him how he can use his mind and heart in positive ways to get through. I don't know everthing that he will be going through, but I can support him and be strong for him.

I believe we need to be united and positive to get them through. (even when it hurts)

Be well!

My son is in the 357.  I received two letters right away and have not had anything since.  I missed the call on the 27th and was so heartbroken and have not stopped thinking even more about him since.  Has anyone received any other phone calls since the 27th one?

My son is also in 357.  I have received 3 calls, but only because of security clearance.  I have received a total of 5 letters, but they are very busy so he doesn't have much time to write.  I sent you a friend request, if you'd like, I can share some of the details of my sons letters with you :)
