Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 353-354.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I got our letter yesterday!!  He sounds good, but the Div is having trouble 'clicking' hopes to be able to call soon Have a good week end everyone (from NJ)

Hi Everyone,

Just had to share that my trip to the mail box today totally paid off; I got a real, handwritten (well, printed) letter from my son!  It was so good to "hear" in his own words that he is well, and that he is determined to do his best and graduate with his division.  He even still had his quirky sense of humor still in tact! My "mom sense" told me he was OK, but just getting that confirmation from him made me cry like a baby...didn't even know there was that much stored up emotion.  Now I can't stop smiling as I clean house and do laundry (which isn't the case every Saturday!)  I pray that each of you receive some word from your SR soon.  =)

jbkb, that's great!  Isn't it funny how a letter can do that to you?  :)  I had heard from other moms from other div's that some were getting phone calls, i had my fingers crossed all day yesterday, hoping and praying we would be so lucky!  No phone call, but the house is as clean as it could possibly be!!  :)  Fingers crossed the mailman delivers more than bills this week!!!!!!!!!!  :)  have a great day!

Toni

Hi harsheykiss!  Fingers crossed you get a letter soon!  We have received one so far, tomorrow Wednesday was the day last week that we got it so I am crossing my fingers, toes, legs, arms and anything else hoping we get another letter!  Your day is coming!  :)

Hi Ladies, Welcome to October, I feel like the countdown is officially on!!!!!!!   Made my hotel reservations, and took the time off!!!  I can't wait to see all our sailors, and see what strong, confident, men they have become!!!  I am praying the days are quick and the weeks short!!!!  Sent my son a copy of a calendar so that he can have a countdown himself!!!  Looking forward to his letter this week, it is what keeps me holding on!!  Hand in there ladies and always praying for all our sailors for health, and strength to get through all of this!!!

Hi guys, my son is on ship 03, div 353. We're from FL and he'll be going to TX. Got a letter today, he's been sick the whole time:( Even though, he sounds in pretty good spirits and is happy to be halfway done already.

My son is on ship 03 Div 354, and I received 5 letters from him yesterday, he sounds in good spirits as well!!!  Said he has been really sick with pink eye and a real bad chest cold, I am praying for him that he stays healthy to get through these next few weeks!!!  Sounds like they are all getting there butts kicked on a daily basis!!!  Not much sleep on top of not getting mail as often as he had hoped for, makes for a really long 29 days!!!  Poor guy!!!  My heart is breaking for him, but he is strong both mentally and physically and can get through this!!!  They all are!!!

Hi Ladies, Welcome to a new week!!!!  Each passing week is that much closer to the 2nd!!!!!  Anyway, got a surprise phone call from my son this weekend!!!  It was so great to hear his voice, he said he is really sick but trying to get through it!!  He told me that they are going into a tough week, and a hard test this week that could maybe hold him back from PIR a week if he does not pass!!  I am keeping good vibes out to him, and know that he can pull through this!!!  Lots of love to all the moms who are patiently waiting for PIR to come!!!
