Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 015 & 016.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I am flying in on Tuesday, and going to Sarge's meet and greet.  I hope to meet you there.  I am going to fly home Friday night.  Where are you coming from?

I'm flying in Monday and leaving Saturday. I'm coming from Sacramento CA. I'm also going to the sarges meet n greet.

Great we can meet.. Where are you going to be staying at?

hi, our sons are in same ship and division!   :-)

waht division is your son in?  Are you going to the meet and greet?

Where are you going to be staying at?  I am looking forward to meeting all of you.

hi! My son is SHIP-13/DIV016 too!!  I haven't heard from him yet....but know I will!!  I can't wait til PIR, still trying to raise funds to get there.  Can't wait to see him, and meet everyone from this site! :-)

I have not heard from my son either :( The form letter came and the box.. but no real letter - I did talk to the Public Relations Office in Great Lakes regarding the date and the girl told me that the PIR date for Div 016 is the day before Thanksgiving...Just like lemonelephant has told us... Love this site.  It is so helpful.

We are in Southern Indiana so we plan on driving in on Tuesday. I have already booked the hotel. Can't wait to squeeze my kids neck!

My SR is Ship 13 Div 15.  We are driving in from MD.  Any suggestions on where to stay.  I also want to go to the meet and greet with Sarge how do I get the information on that?  Thetwoj...did you ever get your letter or your box.  I have been worried about you??

I would give the Navy Lodge a call. Call them directly though don't use the web to make the reservation. It is not a fancy hotel, but we found it to be just what we needed, the price is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. You may have to make the reservation under your SRs name, but it is not a problem to do so. The hotel is not on the base, but it is located in the family housing subdivision.

The meet and greet information is on the main page or if you look to the right from this page you can also find it. At the top of the page are yellow rolling smiley things there is a clickable link to all the information. Sarge's is probably the most informative meet and greet and he is very helpful.

Pink, can you believe I have not gotten my box or my letter yet? Oye Vey! Well tomorrow is 2 weeks, if I don't see anything by week 5, I will start calling to figure out what to do. It's not the end of the world, as he can give me the information in a letter home, but the cell phone that is only a year old would be nice to get back!

Anyhoo...I booked a hotel for Tuesday thru Sunday, but I'm thinking of cancelling Thursday thru Sunday. I live 60 miles south of base, but they have a rule about going more than 50 miles away. I understand that they will probably allow him a special chit to come home during those days. It's a lot of driving, but I figured we can split it up amongst family and friends. I signed up for Sarge's meet and greet, I can't wait to meet everyone!
