Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 04 (USS Arleigh Burke) Divisions 801 & 802 (Brother Divisions)
Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 801 & 802!!!
It only happens a few times a year when there are two special ops groups in one TG.
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Did everyone get their PIR forms yet? Still haven't received mine.. I know they haven't been able to send mail until this week and only if they we're good.. I can't wait for my first letter!
I can't believe how expensive flights are to Chicago.. Does anyone know the best airline to use and which hotel would be the best? Do you get the discount for PIR at certain hotels? I'm flying from CT and the flights are looking around $400+ for that weekend! -

KT, we flew into Milwaukee. It is about the same distance to base and a lot cheaper.

Did you check Southwest? I am flying from Long Island and found $122.00 each way. I looked at many hotels, just depends on what you need. They all seem to offer a discount for PIRs.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I ended up booking with Southwest for a round trip ticket of $235 into Milwaukee.. Not too bad! I reserved a room at the Spring Hill Suites too.. it was $89 a night with the PIR discount, not too bad and the rooms looked much nicer than the other hotels. Now the rental car.. fingers crossed for good weather!

That is a great price for spring hill suites. they charged me 139 a night. did not think to ask for pir rate. and now you cannot get it.

Flying to Milwaukee was actually more expensive for me. I got SW into Midway, 140 total round trip.

I found this helpful breakdown of what goes on in boot camp, specially for the 800 divisions. They wake up earlier and have my PT than other divisions from what I have read ..
-3:30 am – Revelie, wake up + fix bunk.
-4:00-5:00 am- Get yelled at for bad bunks.
-5:00- 5:10 am- Travel to galley and eat.
5:10 – 6:00 am- March to hall for PT ( P.E.).
6:00-8:00 am- 300 pushups/ situps + 2 mile run.
8:00 to 8:50 am-March back to ship.
8:50- 9:00 am- shower, hygiene, laundry.
9:00- 11:00 am- fold clothes (PERFECTLY).
11:00 am - 2:00 pm- Classroom and sack lunch.
2:00 – 4:00 pm- In house PT (basically yelling + PE)
4:00 – 5:30 pm- Forward AST ( study hour while standing).
5:30 – 6:30 pm- March to pool.
6:30 – 7:30 pm- Swim two miles + 50 Dead hang curl-ups.
7:30- 8:30 pm- March to ship.
8:30 – 8:40 pm- Eat dinner (he said the food is good just not time to eat it)
8:40 to 9:30 pm- Clean compartment w/ division.
9:30- 10:30 pm- Get mail, iron and fold clothes.
10:30 pm – 3:30 am sleep (unless you have watch)
Note: A watch is someone who stays awake all night W/ pistol and flashlight watching for intruders and rank recognition.)

Thank you for taking the time to make a place where we can meet and have questions answered. I have a son in 802 and I am very proud of him. He has wanted to be a sailor since he was around 3 or 4 and now he is making his dreams come true.

Welcome 801 and 802. My son was on this same journey 2 years ago this month. Glad to see this discussion finally started and the everyone getting to know each other. Its a great pace to make new friends, learn something new, and tons of support from those who are on the exact same journey. I'll be available, along with a few other veteran moms, to help make BC a little easier for you.
