Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 015 & 016.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

@debnchris I am flying in with my husband and our 16 month old son.  We are flying in Monday night just so we would make the meet and greet.  We are coming back home Saturday morning.

I was rushing home from work today to check my mail and I didn't get any letters.  Glad to hear that they are coming though.

beckybec Maybe we will get a letter tomorrow.  I just hope I get one soon.  I write everyday sometimes twice.  Did you say that you were staying at the Navy Lodge?

I sure hope so.  I try to write everyday but it's so hard with a toddler and job.  lol...  But I am trying to make an effort to write 1 a day.  I've managed every other day.  Yes we are staying at the Navy Lodge.  Is is 11/21 yet???  I am so ready to be there.  Did you find anything regarding restaurants on Thanksgiving day?

@beckybec I googled Thanksgiving in Chicago and it came up with several of places to eat and the menus.. It was really nice there were at least 10 of them with full Thanksgiving dinners.

@debnchris. Great, I'm gonna do that.

debnchris....nothing in my mailbox either....but someone did say that they JUST got to write on Sunday...so who knows....there's STILL hope for this week. :-)

@SailorMom59  Sorry.. Please let me know if you receive one tomorrow.  I am hoping if they did get to write on Sunday, I will be one of the ones that he picks to write to.. I will pray for both of us tonight.  some day this will all be behind us and we can laugh and say remember when.

got it!! did you??

Hey everyone!  Our mailroom just called to tell me that I have a letter, I RAN down there as fast as I could.  My son is on SHIP 13 DIV 15.  He said they took their first physical test and he passed, and they are waiting on their DEP test to come back.  He is praying that he did well and will be an E-2.  He aslo said that they will have their frist inspection next week.  Keeping my fingers crossed that all the boys do well.  He said boot camp is about to get really hard if everyone cant start following simple instructions.  I am not sure what that is all about but he is wanting them to pull together as a team.  His handwriting is terrible so he is hoping they dont have him write in the logs anymore! LOL  He said the boys and himself were all pretty home sick but that is getting better.  They are all making friends. He said if they do pull it together they will get to make phone calls in a couple of weeks.  So keep praying that our boys can pull together so we can ALL get a phone call soon. One thing that he did say was THANK YOU so much for the pictures, I have been printing pictures of the family on a page and then writing on the other side.  So whoever suggested that, THANK YOU!  Apparently it does them well to have something to look at! Hugs to everyone!

awesome!!!!!!!!

Yah Pink! Did he by any chance mention any friends he has made?
I hope that means i have letter when I get home.

He did not say what the names are of his friends.  I will ask in my letter tonight.  I am just so happy to hear from him.  Hopefully I will get another one next week.
