Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 015 & 016.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I am so proud of the Navy they must be doing something right because he so happy to be there. He cant wait to start a job. PIR 11/21/12

I just received a phone call from my son. It was about 20 minutes long. He sounds really good and happy. I can't wait for 11/21.

beckybec - R we both happy or what... TGIF..... What a way to end the week.  A call omg I could not be happier for all of us. It was so good to hear HI MOM..... He is so happy that I am writting EVERY day.  I asked if it is too much and he laughed and said no I love the letters. I do not think I am going to be able to sleep tonight... I hope that everyone got the call.  We are not far away from 11/21.......

Debnchris I couldn't be more happier. Although I wish it was my Friday. It's only my Wednesday. :-(. I'm a nurse and required to work every other weekend. Unfortunatly this is my weekend to work. The phone call was definitely needed for all of us mamas. So happy for all of us. Glad that all your writing is appreciated. I have been good at writing one every night. :-). 11/21 hurry!!!

Received my 1st call at 7.00 pm my time I cound'nt believe my ears!!!! He sound very strong and upbeat they did have a outbreak of the chickenpox but got though it. He had a chest cold and got though that. I told him its all  uphill now. I love him so much  I think  more now than when he left if that is possible. PIR 11/21/12 Can not wait!!!!!

I got a call from my son too! OMG- How great was it hearing their voices??? We were having dinner out and when I heard him say, "Hey Mom!" I screamed, "JAKE!!" I don't even care if everyone turned to look at us! We all passed the phone around and were just so so happy to hear his voice. He sounded a bit sick- he said a lot of them had a cold type thing. He said he didn't know he was supposed to refill his meds for getting his wisdom teeth pulled and had been having major headaches that were making him sick. He went today to get more meds though- so hopefully he will feel better soon!

He was telling me about someone in his division that they call "Big Country." sounds like they are good friends. Kid lost his tooth eating an apple.

He said he was actually getting out of shape being there because he wasn't getting to work out as much as he does at home. (Maybe because of his teeth??)

He said it is freezing there at night. Let's see...what else?

I'm trying to share with you everything I can remember because I LOVE hearing what your recruits write/talk about too!

Time flew by while we talked, that's for sure! He did sound upbeat and happy but said his mouth was hurting so bad- worst pain he has ever had. Seems like they shouldn't still be hurting?!

Oh- he is supposed to go Florida for school and he said as of now he is supposed to get Wed- Sun off for Liberty and fly out Monday for A school. I  know this could change, though.

He said he probably would only get one more call- after battlestations.

Yay for us!! So happy we got phone calls!!!

Smmurf46 that's so funny that you mention Big Country bcuz my son wrote to me about him too. Lol...

So happy for all you out there that got phone calls...    WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

My son wrote about that story as well.  Sounds like it must have been pretty funny. Ha

beckybec - sorry about this not being your Friday. But at least hump day for you.  I hope that you enjoy the rest of your week and I agree November 21....HURRY UP

smmurf46 - I am so happy for you.  I too screamed when I heard the Hey Mom.  That is funny about the Nickname, they have nicknamed my son TATS.  I am writting my son everyday sometimes twice.  I asked if I was writting to much and he laughed and said No, I love the letters from home.  It sure was so good to hear his voice.  We all agree on this!!.. My son too is going to Pensacola.

Omg I'm so jealous! I'm so glad a few of you got phone calls! I hope my hubby can call soon.
