Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 021 & 022

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

MY faince gave me three last names of his friends from Div 021! If you are interested maybe we can swipe names see if any matches!!

I got my second letter today. It's dated 10/21. I'm about to cry my eyes out because he still hasn't received any of my nearly 20 letters yet. But he did get one from my mom. Just an update.

Also he asked me to tell my mom thanks for the phone card and that he would have sent her a letter too but he is trying to conserve paper. Should I send him paper?

Thank you for sharing!!

Thats so disappointing that they haven't gotten our letters yet. I thought for sure they would have by now :(

I just got my second letter too. He also hasn't received my letters. I feel bad though because he asked me why I wasn't writing him but I have sent almost 30 letters already! I hope they get their mail soon. :(

Hi Marissa,

My son hasn't either. ship changed from 03 to 04 and the last 4 digits of the zip changed also. Sent a slew of letters before I knew. Got a letter on Saturday stating he's not gotten anything, bummed about that, but also sounded happy, he passed swimming test. He also said he should be able to call home this week. His Dad & I do not let our cell phones out of our site. We're not even using them. Kind of feel like I'm at BC!

My mom sent his letter to the correct ship on the same day that I got the form letter. She didn't know that I had gotten it so she got his address from the recruiter, and since the form letter was wrong I sent my first few letters to the wrong address but she had the right one from the beginning. So hopefully they get the whole ship 03/04 thing straightened out with mail soon. Besides all of my letters, I know at least four other people have sent him mail and he only received my moms.

Yes it is very disappointing that they haven't gotten our letters ): I hope they all get them soon. I at least have a little comfort knowing that in her letter my mom said that I had some ready to send out, so he knows I've written. It must be hard on them not getting any mail.

Also to anyone who hasn't gotten mail or your SR hasn't said anything, you might want to send stamps. At the end of my letter he asked me to let anyone know that wants to send him stuff to send stamps, so I am assuming they all could use some.

My first letter came in thursday last week so I'll prolly get it tommorrow. I'll go by stamps though when I can and send him a book. If he has enough then he can just share

I just sent a little over 20 envelopes pre-stamped so my SR will have a few to spare too.... if he ever gets them!!!!

I got my son's first lette today. He didn't say anything either about getting the several letters I have already sent him. The last few had the right ship & zip. I sent him phone cards in the first letter, so I hope he gets it so he has them when he can call home.

So it sounds like our SR's are going to be getting a bunch of letters all at one time. They are going to be overwhelmed with the reading. LOL Hope they realize we are sending letters, but due to the mix up in ships they are delayed in getting to them.

If he just got the letter my mom sent to the right address on the 10th sometime between the 14th and 21st. So my guess is that my SR should be getting the letters I started sending to the right address on the 15th sometime this week. I don't know if mail takes longer from where you live, but hopefully he will get your letters soon.

My SR bought a phone card before he knew that my mom sent him one. So if he hasn't gotten the phone card you sent him yet he may have bought one.

My first letter, with wrong ship & zip, went in the mail the 13, then been sending letters every other day. Just don't want my son to think I'm not writing him. I'm the one parent he knows he can count on. Guessing his dad will never lift a pen.
