Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 019 & 020

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My daughter is in the same division.
My son is on the same ship and I got a call too, have had him on my mind all day and bam I get a call from him, so glad to hear his voice. He called is wife and his Nannie but his Dad missed his call and was not happy he missed it.

Is your son married to Gabby??

Got a call from my daughter & amazingly after 2 vm's I was able to answer!!!
My husband is on ship 3 div 020 and I got 2 phone calls today from him. I was at work but I didn't care cause it was so good just to be able to talk to him. He actually got to talk for a while both phone calls were about 15 mins.

I too recieved a phone call today my son was able to make three calls one to Grandma (God Bless him), one to home to his 18 year old brother who he is very close too and one to myself. He is doing well he has passed all his tests (thank goodness). He likes his new division but really misses the friends he had to leave in his old division. He mentioned that many SR's in his new division do not like him and that made me very sad. He says that a lot of people have an issue with the fact that he is from Boston. But he is a good kid and he will make friends once people get to know him I am sure. I am sure it is also hard because he is the odd guy out since he is joinning the division late. He said he got to go to the store to buy all the things he needed stamps, envelops, paper, pens....He misses home but he said he is doing well and has a renewed sense of strenght. I hope you all get calls soon.

You can also sent him all those supplies through the mail. I sent my husband a package with a pack of paper, envelopes, and some pictures of our son. I also sent him stamps in one of his letters the other day.

He doesn't get in trouble for that?? In my sons last division he would have paid severely for that. This division is so different. Where are you from? and how old is your husband?

Not that I know of. I told him today that I sent it and he never said that he would get in trouble for it. Everything is so expensive there so I figured I would help him out a little bit. I'm from Alabama and my husband is 19.
How old is your son?

My son is 20 years old and I am not too worried about the friend thing I know once people give him a chance he will be okay its just a group of guys tried really hard to get him in trouble and well I believe it back fired on them so hopefully that is done and over with. People at home here are always cracking joke about how my SR could make friends with a tree...I want them all to come together and do well as a division. Have any of you made your reservations yet??

I'm so glad you finally heard from your son!! Yeah, I made my reservations as soon as I got the form letter. I am counting down the days. Still no call from my daughter. Sounds like just about everyone else has gotten a call. I really hope she gets to call soon.
