Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 801 & 802!!!

It only happens a few times a year when there are two special ops groups in one TG.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

WE RECEIVED 2 LETTERS TODAY!  Oh how wonderful it was to read his words.  I think he is missing us as much as we are missing him.  It seems as though things are calming down now and THEY are working as a team.  Just READING  his letters he seems to be so much more grown up.  I'm so proud of Our Div. 802! They rock! and I'm so grateful to have all of you to talk to.

I'm one proud Momma! HOOHAY!

Well I got my first letter today and finally the PIR form.. The letter was not what I expected at all, it didn't even sound like my boyfriend who wrote it.. Very distant and cold. Not really sure how to take it, and he said he changed alot already since being there. He said my letters were helping him get through boot camp, but I don't think he understands how much his letters are suppose to help me too! A little reassurance would have been great, I don't mean to be selfish, but the letter almost made me more sad that there was no emotion at all behind his writing.. Hope everyone else gets wonderful letters from their SR, I'm still trying to figure out what to make of his..

Hang in there KTKat.  This is tough on both sides I'm sure. Will be thinking about you. Maybe when the call comes and you can hear his voice it will clarify things.

Hey KTKat,

Have you also joined/asked the group called something like "Girlfriends, Fiances, and Wives?"  That group probably would be a great sounding board for what you are feeling and experiencing.  So hard to tell what he feels when he is so darn tired and exhausted!

Just received my first letter Woohoo!

802 had a rough few weeks but seem to be getting back on track!

I got two letters today!!! 23 pages of writing:) wayyyyy more than I was expecting. I also got a... wait for it... I GOT A PHONE CALL!!!!!!! only 8 minutes but, hey, it's something. Anyone else get a phone call?

@ sailorsbaby94   Are you 801 or 802? Seems like it was an 802 calling night.  Hopefully more calls tomorrow night!

We got a phone call too! Ours lasted about 8 minutes also. It was great to hear his voice. He said he's doing good - just tired and annoyed! :)

We received a phone call also...it was wonderful and hes doing great. it has been the BEST DAY! CANT WAIT TO SEE HIM!

Woo-hoo!!!  Got our first call from our SR in 802!!! It was sooo exciting to see the 847 telephone exchange come up like someone else said.  He sounded great!  Got about a 17 minute conversation with him.  Just an FYI the call came in early evening-like 5:15ish their time (although their may be no consistency to it). He's asking for a few personal items.  He says he CAN receive a box?  Now that's interesting, seeing I read like everywhere only envelopes were allowed.  He seems quite certain.  It does sound like things are improving for this group of SR's.  He's still saying they might only be allowed to SEND mail on Sundays-not certain though.  Continues to GET mail regularly though.  I'm hoping and praying each of you has a phone call SOON!

sailormom, it depends on the instructor. Some will allow boxes, but its rare. Actually I am surprised.

Phew! I get to add to the "I got a letter" list. 802 div. I got 2 "shorties" but his gf got much longer ones, and a phone call. It is quite a comfort to know he's "fine". My youngest and I went to his gf's work to read her letters. He also sounds frustrated with the struggles they are having and the lack of work out time. I think their schedule gets more interesting after this week. He is proud of himself for not getting in much trouble. As they get more used to the routines it will be fun to hear how things go.
