Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 015 & 016.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

MMMship - that is what I thought the warmer clothes are going to be back there.

SailorMom59 - message me - I do not believe that any place is really in waking distance.  I am happy to talk to you about my idea if you would like.

Got a letter from my son yesterday, he said that he did not get to call me Friday Eve he was SIQ(sick in quarters), he had had his wisdom teeth pulled that day,  AMY, how is your son doing? Pink, how are you holding up?  And, Kelly, stay in touch.

My SR wrote today 26 more days until PIR 11/21/2012 he is so upbeat and determine to get though this. He said Hell week is about to start. He was fitted for his dress blues and put  them on and said " It felt so damm good and can't wait to put on my stripes." He is so proud to be a part of this service!!!! I didn't think I could love him more but eveytime I read his letters or hear his voice I do.

Hey Pink, Kawilde, Ctown and Amy,

I got a letter today. Actually there was a hand written letter and he filled out the survey that I sent. I learned more from the survey than his letter. It's a good thing he job is electronics cause if he had to actually write, no one could read it.

He mentioned another friend he had made besides yours Kawilde I am glad he is making friends.

He sill worried about his running.

Glad you got a letter Kawilde.
Ctown, I guess the bright side is that you at least got some news via his GF. I know you want a call too but it's the little things that get us through this.

Pink and Amy, did you guys hear anything?

Another day ending means another day closer to PIR.

Have a great evening Navy Moms!
Kellyd
Hey all. I did get a short letter yesterday. Not much info. He said he got his teeth pulled I believe last week and that he had 3 days off (wish he'd called me while he was off) he said it wasn't too bad tho. :) He said he passed his last test only missing one, but that's the first test I've heard him speak of, so not sure on the others. He keeps asking for a family pic... Which I've sent several times. Would it be possible that they never make it to him. I only ask since he continues to ask, so a little confused on that one. He was apologizing about having up go so quickly, but I'm just glad I got a letter!!! Made my day as usual. :) he said he wasn't sure about liberty after graduation yet... So many questions so little answers. Lol. Can't wait for 11/21!!!! :)
Debnchris.... I have tried twice to send you an email... I know the first never went through, but wasn't sure about the other... Was just checking to see if you received it. :)
Dillonsmom No I am not getting your email. Are you ok?

Kellyd, I found out last night that my son is writing some girl he barely knew more than me.  Seriously, he hung out with her two weeks before he left.  I am beside myself, but I wrote my son again today and did not mention it.  I don’t want to distract him or make him feel bad while he is working so hard.  But when he gets out and graduates, I am going to JACK him up for making me cry and finding out on facebook.  LOL  I am glad he has someone other than his momma to write, but it is tough not being number 1 when I have been a single mom for all of his life.   Hope everyone is having a really great day!

Pinkpuddles - I hear what your saying.  My SR GF is finding it hard to find time to mail letters.  He wrote about some dance to her, and I told her that I did not hear about the dance but I thought that it was great and it gave them something go do.  He was going to buy her ticket to PIR but her family will not let her go because of it being Thanksgiving.  I too am single and have been for a long time and this is my only son.

debncris, I would be fine if they were long time GF and BF but seriously, they dated a minute before he left to go to bootcamp, and every time she sees me, (she is a senior is HS and so is my youngest son who is captin of the football team and she is on the pom squad, so she is at every game and so are we) she cant wait to come up to me and rub it in that she got another letter.  I want to knock her off the bleachers but I smile and say, good for you honey!  This has been a long 5 weeks and it makes me sick to my stomach everytime she comes up in her little cute outfit with her little cute self and tells me about my son who she hardly knows.  Let me JUMP off my soap box!  Hoping to get a letter soon :)

pinkpuddles.  I am sorry ,, my son mentioned about a dance that they are all going to go to.  Maybe your son will meet someone.  Your doing the right thing my just saying thats nice and not really talking to her.  Keep your chin up..
