Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 025 & 026
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Has anyone received a call yet??? I am dying to hear from my son, every day I think today will be the day but still no call....this stinks!
I got my letter from my boyfriend! In it he said he was going to try to call on my birthday, which is halloween, so I'm assuming div 25 might be getting their phone calls around the middle of the week?
Just checking to see how everybody whose SR is in Divs 25 & 26 are doing. Hope all are well. I'm a bit more calm this week after having received multiple letters from my son. We received 4 this past Wednesday, 3 on Friday and 1 yesterday. Sometimes they weren't more than 1-2 lines, but I don't care. It's still word. Also, he sent us an "adopt a sailor" form and we'll be headed there the week before PIR for Thanksgiving and again the week after for actual PIR. It's going to be tight, but worth everything to spend even 5 minutes with him at this point. I don't care if we have to eat PB&J in the car that day. :) So hang tough everybody, I think we're headed for the homestretch. We might actually do this! lol!
I too looked into flights from NY, but with the cost and hotel and then renting a car it would be too expensive. My son did say that when they went to a "Adopted Family" for Thanksgiving that they could call home.We will have to hang on for a little longer. Seems like he has been gone much longer than 4 weeks, seems more like 6 months! At least I know he is doing okay now. He did say though that some of the guys haven't been doing what there suppose to do and the whole unit (25) will get extra ITE (intensive training exercise.) Plus the phone calls at the end of the month could be affected. Hope the unit pulls together so that wont happen. Stay strong !
I got a call last night from my boyfriend, but I was at work and missed it :( However, he had time left to call his mom, who was able to pick up, and tell her to tell me he loves me and happy birthday. Awww. So sweet.
i joined this group a couple of weeks ago and thought a made a comment - but cant find it! my son is in ship 14 division 25. we got a call this week and a letter!! looking forward to PIR. this will be my second one - my oldest joined in 2006.
Yeah I just got a letter from my husband today and he said they lost thier phone call home :(
Samantha....did your husband's letter say how long they lost their phone privileges for? I am absolutely dying to hear from my son. I am at least getting letters, which I am grateful for, but I sure would love to hear his voice sometime soon.
Sorry girls he just said "we lost or phone call"....which leads me to believe that they are not getting it back because he didn't mention anything more about calling home.....but I sent him a letter back and told him that he better get those boys on the same page or I'm coming up there to take care of it myself....he said there is about a 50/50 divide between their group half want to do what they are suppose to the other half not so much. he also told me after lights out it turns into a party house there....which apperently the cheif's have caught onto this and come back in after lights out and beat them to sleep with IT (intensive training). all I can say is I hope they get it together and soon!!!
We got just a quick phone call last Mon night. My son did say there are some guys that just dont know how to be quiet and follow orders! He said that he hopes that they can get their act together because they soon will start their fire training. He also said some guys were sent home, probably Chiefs felt like they were wasting each other's time. By the way there are some new pictures up on the web site, In the cafeteria and uniform inspection of some of our SR's maybe if your a lucky one you may spot your loved one. Me no luck! It was nice to see anyways. On the positive, we are a little more than 1/2 done until Grad, and we all made it, YEA! Hang in there!
