For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 12 (USS Triton) Divisons 029 & 030 (Brother Divisions)
Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 029 & 030
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

No, because my son is in Div 030 and he is not a submariner. Good thought though

oh ok :) what is he going to do? sorry if you've already said sometimes it is hard to remember what others have already posted.

No problem. He is going to be an Aviation.......mechanic (lots of words in between that I can't remember LOL). It has something to do with the safety of ejection seats & other cockpit issues. He will be training in Pensacola, FL

There are a small group (about 1/6 ) that are "others" ! My son will be going to Corpsman school in San Antonio after bootcamp.

Wow, that's a lot for one division. My son is in the same program, I wonder is Div 030 has a similiar makeup?
This is great, depending on which rate they get, theses sailors may be together in school for close to a year. Great way to make lifelong friends.

My SR is in Ship 12 Div 030, too. He is going to A school as aviation structual mechanic in Pensecola FL. My guy will celebrate his birthday a week after BC. Another memory he will share with his brothers. :)

OKay, I have lots of ??? I am trying to make reservations and am curious where everyone is staying. Also, do our Boys/Girls get to stay with us after PIR? (if they are not flying out the next day) My daughter-in-law (wife of our other navy son) says once they are done with PIR, they check out and can stay with us; the recruiter says otherwise....anybody "know" for sure?

momof2sons, They do not have overnight liberty. If they are staying in GL for A School they will have liberty Friday after they check into the TSC side and will most likely have liberty on Sat and Sun from approx 6am to 10pm (these hours can vary). The must be back to their ship each night and cannot be late, if they are late they may lose the rest of their weekend liberty.
If they are not flying out right away to A School, they may also have the same liberty policy for the weekend.
