Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 021 & 022

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hope everyone is having a good day! Keep sending encouraging mail!! :-)

Hey all! My husband is Ship04 DIV022.  I'm excited to see this group and hope that our SRs are doing amazing! My Husband passed his first inspection and called home a little over a week ago, and also got to call home on Friday.  He tells me the Divisions are pretty tight knit!  Hope all is well!!!

Hi JasonsWIFE,

I've told my son that I've talked to you a few times on here, but he can't figure out who you hub is, apparently a few Jason's in their division. My son is Alex. Got a 45 minute call from him on Thurs. so wonderful to hear him! He sounded good, a bit homesick, but good! Where do you live? I'm in MN

My boy is in division 22 as well!!! Glad they are all doing good... We got a 30 min call last Thursday as well... Was so awesome to hear his voice!!

Hi Heather

What will your son do after BC? Mine is AO, will go to Pensacola. That phone call was THE BEST!! Half way through!!

Still haven't gotten a call from my son. I've only gotten the 1 letter from him where he was missing home alot. I see from some of the other post on here, those of you with SR's on ship 4, that lots of them have been ill & most have not received the letters we sent with the wrong ship number. This makes me sad. My husband (his stepdad) & I are the only parents my son has ever been able to count on & I don't want him thinking I haven't wriiten him since he has been at bc. I so hope he gets  my many letters soon.

I'm also hoping he sends me the paperwork for Thanksgiving. My husband (his step dad) said that if Cyle gets to leave base for the day, that there is no way we would miss driving up there.

I hope you get more soon! Are you div 021 or 022?

So here goes my story... I found out about Thanksgiving Day and I had it all planned to get my SR for the day within about two hours. Then I found out that a family member has to sign him out. So I asked his dad to go, he said yes. Everything was fine. His dad just now informed me that he will (probably) have to work on Thanksgiving because 6 people asked off before he did. When he said probably I don't know if that was him letting me know gently or if there really is a chance he could still get the day off. I then asked his grandma to go with me and she said she doesn't think she will be able to make the trips twice within a week's time. I then mentioned that my SR would like to have his uncle who lives in the area get him for the day if no one could come from home (about 6 hours). His grandma said that his uncle is in the hospital right now and not feeling too well (as in I think having his uncle get him for the day is out).

Now I am left with no one to sign him out. I was wondering if there is anyone in Division 021 that is going for the day on Thanksgiving that would like to sign out my SR as your guest and spend the day with us. The only downside to that plan is that I would be driving 6 hours, spending the day there, and driving 6 hours home by myself and I was looking forward to having someone from his family there to drive with me, but as of right now I would really like any way to get to see him.

Hey send me a message I have an idea

I just did
