OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

CS A School Graduation 11/02/12
Hello,
Friday my sailor will be graduating from A School...Woo Hoo. School was cancel do to the Hurricane Sandy on yesterday. Will graduation be held back? Do anyone have a sailor who graduating Friday? Also, she hasn't gotten her orders yet where she will be station. Will she get her order on graduation?
Also, she is wanting to start taking college courses. Do she have to take courses pretaining to her job or can she take like business course or some other field? What school\colleges she can apply for online?

hello, my son is CS also but is on holding or waiting to class up, she would have to go to A school first which is at Fort Lee, VA. and depending on if she also does C schooling also? as for courses on line I've been told if it any now well holding he may not get refunded? I don't know if because it's holding or waiting to class up.

She in A School and will be graduating on Friday in Fort Lee. she hasn't said anything about attending C schooling, what is C schooling?
Online Courses she wants to take but not in CS, and not sure if the navy will pay for her to take online courses. if it's not in her job or can she take courses in any field?

My Sailor daughter also just graduated RTC on 11/2/12 and is going to CS A school. From our understanding she stays in GL and will begin A school on 11/12 staying in GL at least through 11/24 before moving on to Fort Lee...are you hearing this as well or have you heard differently? There's so much misinformation so I figure we could compare notes.
As far as the online college classes, I'm interested in finding out the same. Her recruiter had told her it wouldn't be a problem but she is now convinced she was m isled as she is now being told that she has to serve at least two years before the Navy will pay for any classes. Now this has yet to be confirmed and I don't know if this also applies to courses taken in a field relevant to her rate. I'm following this post and I hope we can get a clear answer on this. Please feel free to friend me and keep me posted with what you find out. -

I haven't heard anything else regarding school, she's kind of discourged right now about the online classes. Her recruiter here told her the samethings, she said mom they all lied. I told her to hang in there and it will get better, just stay focus and trust in the Lord. Hopefully someone will read our post and help us or give us a better understanding.

My daughter also just graduated 11.2 at GL. She is held over there waiting on a class. She told me this coming weekend she would leave for FT. Lee. She should be there 55 days, then not sure where after that.

Congrats Midgett,
Yes they have to wait for class to fill up, she might be on hold in VA. my sailor was on hold a week in GL and then a week in VA. she just graduated and now on hold again for her next station. I'm trying to get use to the navy way, it's hard. They give them ideals on how or when they will start class or their next station, but things changes. Just be prepare.
