Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 023 & 024

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thanks sailormom. I got a letter last Thursday, but was really looking forward to a call.

Letter from my daughter! She mentioned two friends, both girls : DEMU----- and CRO---. If you are their mom or know them, could you please send me a message? She wants me to get in touch with you.

She said that they were having fun deciphering her little sister's letters (she's in 1st grade) and DEMU----- is jealous of her letters, so could they please write her? :)

Asked for prayer for CRO--- because she's been sick and injured a lot.

I got two more letters today!!! My son does a great Major Payne impersonation, so he started his letter off with some Major Payne quotes!!! I love it! Makes me know he is doing well enough to be silly! Lol. Hope everyone is hearing from your future sailors too! I'm sure the hard part of bootcamp is coming up in the next several weeks, so I'm praying for all them to stay strong!

Yeah for letters!  I got one yesterday.  Glad to know they are all doing well and hanging in there!  28 days and counting!

I got a wonerful letter yesterday but our internet was sick ( Comcast ) !!! Anyway, he had been writing a little bit for a few days, so it was a nice long one! He said they got fitted for thie uniforms, dress blues and whites, peanut butters, service overalls, and that the Pea coats are awesome! He seems to be doiing well, past his PT, no cavities, and had a deep cleaning shceduled the next day..I made sure he had a dental exam and cleaning in August just to be sure he didn't need any work done. He did say that they were starting the official training and that it was going to get more intense and go alot faster now, but seeed excited. He asked for more letters and pictures! Asked about he favorite movies, and missed music and driving, but couldn't wait to see us :)

Hope this helps some!

Ohh, thanks bellamom! I have not received a letter this week so the info is great! Thanks so much!

No problem Cannec!

Lots of info.  My last letter was about half a page.  Maybe he will write more now that things seem to ramping up.  Still it's nice to see a letter from him.  Let's me know he is still out there somewhere :)

I received a letter today! My SR actually wrote to a few people this past week. Sounds like today would be week 3 day 4. Sounds much more upbeat and was joking in his letter. Still don't know why the phone call was lost. The letter was written the day before the call was to take place. Passed the 1st test and excited to be starting the next phase of training. Last week it was all about ironing and this week its all about shining shoes!! Did you all see the pictures on the NSTC FB page of the USS Triton Dining hall. I scoured through trying to catch a glimpse of my SR, but did not see him. It shows a lot of SR's so take a look and see if you can spot your SR!! The RTC FB also has some pictures of outside marching. Was glad to hear that he really looks forward to mail call! Says its the "best time of the day". 27 more days, four weeks from today we'll see our Sailors!

I can't even find the pictures you wrote about! :(

Ladies of Ship12/Div 023 - have any of you made a decision on the Meet-n-greet you will attend? Obviously my goal would be to meet as many of those from my son's group as possible so would like to make my decision based on what the majority of the rest of you are doing!

My husband and I will be at Sarge's Meet and Greet, seems to be the best one as far as info.  I've already RSVP'd.
