Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 801 & 802!!!

It only happens a few times a year when there are two special ops groups in one TG.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Jackflash, don't worry I have no idea how all these thanksgiving plans have been made either! This snail mail is not very good for making plans haha.

Bears Nana,

How did you find restaurants that are open Thanksgiving day?  Are you eating in Chicago or staying close to Great Lakes?  Thanks.  Just got my form today in the mail.  So excited!

I told my son to tell his friend he can use our cell phones as much as he would like that day too!

Checking out Gianni's in Palatine as well as Chessies in Barrington for reservations! Both are buffets.

Well i cant find it now, maybe someone knows what happened to it, but there was a discussion with what restaurants are open on thanksgiving. That is where I got the name of the restaurant. i only wrote 3 of them down. Here they are- Cracker Barrel phone 847-244-1512 located in Gurnee, Chessies in an old train station in Barrington buffet is $27.95 make reservations,8473825020, illinois Beach resort in Zion, need reservations 8476257300. My blue form just came a few days ago. I had gotten one from another family and then I got one in mail last sat. So I have an extra if anybody needs it. Most of the info I find out about is from this website. My SR knows less than me. He was asking me about graduation time and how much time we can spend with him and he did not know about Adopt a sailor when I talked to him a couple weeks ago. I guess he did good on a test so he got a 15 min phone call. And that is the only call I have had pretty much.

I would love to have your extra form if possible! It's not individualized with your name and son's name on it already? I will add you as a friend and message you for more info. This would be fantastic as I just found out about this last night and am thinking it might be too late for him to find out about it and send a form early next week. Thanks!!

Thanks so much.

FireTeamLeaderWife made a discussion forum but now I can't find it either!

I can't believe you can get an Adopt A Sailor form without your SR sending it...who would have known!

It's not too late though-they just have to be faxed in by 11/16 so just ask your SR to send it if you can be in Chicago that day!

I just wish I could post names her to ask if we are taking one of your sons to dinner!!!

You can post a "generic post" such as,

"if you have a SR named Bot****** (no complete last name) and are from Ohio please message me we may be taking your son to dinner with us.

Well my SR's  buddy we are taking on thanksgiving first name starts with a B and last name starts with an S and he is from Div 802. Dont know where he is from. That is the name my SR put on the form he mailed me. Sound familiar to anybody??

For us (Div 802 as well) first name begins with A, last name Hu****

Not sure where from. Anyone?

I think it is wonderful Bears Nana and sailormom that you are able to make share your Thanksgiving.

Glad to hear many are getting phone calls, the next call should be "I'm a Sailor". Its getting closer.

Oy.  My SR must be in the soup.  Not only have we not had a phone call, today was Happiness Wednesday--- the day that I received mail the previous two weeks.  Zip.  Zilch.  Nada....

All kidding aside-- I know not to worry, but...... If he's NOT in trouble and can't call or write.... He's in trouble with me and his mom!
