Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 037 & 038

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hey!

I have seen a post for a Meet and Greet at Quality Inn on Thurs at about 7 I think.   It is the only one I have seen.   It IS unreal how much we have in common.  !!!!   Can't wait to meet ya'll!   We are staying at Courtyard Marriott unless I decide to change it!    It is 5  miles away from base.  We are so busy packing and I have NO idea what kind of clothes to take to NYC.   We had 70 degrees today so it's just so hard to think of packing clothes for cold weather!   hahaha SPOILED IN THE SOUTH   :)

Thank you so much for your thoughts as well.   Losinga parent is the hardest thing ever I think.  I lost my dad in 1997.   I will be SO glad to hear from him!

Welcome Mary,,,,I also have a daughter who is a senior in high school, although the last time she was a cheerleader was 6th grade!!! My SR is the 5th of our 6 kids he is a great kid but is a lot quieter than what your son sounds like....hopefully some of your son jokes will lighten the moment for our guys...
I booked our hotel & flight today...we decided to fly in on Weds just in case weather turned out to b a problem we gave ourselves some leeway :). Right now the snow is falling here (Mass) with about 7 inches on the ground ...yuck....

WOW at the snow.   Saturday night leaving the Clemson game was 40 and I thought I was in Iceland!   HAHA   We have cold weather but it's not a constant thing.   We will have 36 at night get up to 75 during the day.  We wore short sleeves today.    But it's cold and rainy tonight.  I am NOT a fan of snow and ice.... last time I was in it I fell on black ice and shattered my wrist.   We do go snow skiing alot....but I refused to go last year.   I will go this year and keep the hot chocolate warm for everyone.   :)   We will also leave on Wednesday and get there early Thurs morning.   We are staying at Courtyard marriott

Just made my reservations at the Courtyard Marriot...20th-23rd...

YAY!   That's where we are!

thats great...cant wait to meet everyone

This website makes it easier on moms. It should be fun meeting everyone that we have been chatting with.
We got our letter on Monday to! My husband was at the gym but I waited for him to get home before I opened it. That was killing me. So good to have an address.
I know what you mean, it is easier on me just being able to write him.

Has anyone gotten a real letter yet?? Not just the form letter?? Does any one know how these divisions are doing?

It's been 2 weeks and we haven't got anything yet. I have been told they don't get a lot of free time to write back but the letters we send to them are encouragement. Basic training will be the hardest thing they will ever experience.
