Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 035 & 036

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

That is very nice to hear....Still haven't received a letter as of today...but we have sent plenty cards to him to cheer him up....Take care....

Keep your chin up, they will come. I wish they would come everyday:)

I wonder if we are a small bunch? There is not much activity here. I wonder how many SRs are in each division, any ideas?

Hi, I think there is about 88 in each division...but I am not sure.  Have you made your reservations yet for the graduation weekend....We are flying in from California on Wed. and fly out on Christmas Eve morning...

How old is your daughter and what area is she going to study in....my grandson will be staying at GL for tech training in Sonar...

I have made reservations at the Spring hill Suites Waukegan. She is 22. We were told that sheis going to Pensicola for A school. I belive she is going to be on the airman side. Don't know what her specific job is. We are diving in on Thurs the 20th and driving home after graduation abd then will take he back to GL when she needs to be there.

Hi guys =) I am SR Foster Aeryk mom I just joined and trying to get everything ready for graduation. We live in Michigan in Onsted. I got my first personal letter and it was five lines saying he did not have much time to write and that he was ok and adjusting the best he could. I miss him very much and hope to get another letter soon with more lines. Not sure who he gets to hang with or if he is makeing any friends. that would be nice to know. I am sending 2 letters or cards a week and let other family and friends know his address so they can send him letters or cards etc.

Is anyone else's son / daughter in ship 03 div 036? I have yet to hear from my son and am worried sick!

I received a letter from my daughter who is also on ship 03 div 036 on Wednesday. It was written on Sunday 11-4-12. She did say that we should be getting a phone call in the next week or two and said to make sure we had our phones with us at all times, to make sure we didnt miss it. I am sure you will receive something soon. Please keep us posted :)

No mail today....still hoping, but he doesn't like to write so maybe a phone call is all we will get....Hope you have a good weekend...I will let you know if and when either a letter or phone call is received...,

My son is ship 03 div 035. I finally got 2 letters yerstday. dated last Suday and Monday. He said he likes it, He said the food is good and you get really big portions. He said he is limiting his portions and trying to eat more protein and 2000 calories a day. Like my other son who is in the marines. You don't get no privacy. Said he has made friends from every where. The air is really dry there and he has had 3 pretty good nose bleeds. Still don't know what his job is yet, so we are not sure where he will be going to A school. He said they really only get Sundays to write. He was going back to dental this week and was they was taking his wisdon teeth out. I hope everyone hears for their recruits.

Got our first letters from daughter last week (USS Hopper, Ship 3, Div. 35) telling us she will be staying after PIR in GL for her A School.  We are leaving from LAX in CA Weds. with hopes of spending the weekend with her, and flying back on Christmas Eve.  Looking forward to seeing her and hoping for a real soon.

Got first letters Thurs and Friday and waiting for that first call soon.  Our daughter is in USS Hopper, Ship 3, Div. 035 - PIR on 12/21/12 and we are preparing for our flight from LAX.  Husband a Navy Vet and got us rooms at Navy Lodge and planning on staying with our daughter over the weekend since she will be going to A School there is GL.  Thanks for this site where I can discuss my concerns with others who can understand my feelings.
